  1. Probably not but the book came out in December of 1958 and the date stamp is January 1961. Maybe a secondary owner did it.
  2. It’s a beautiful cover alright. The story on the other hand... I just ordered a raw copy that the dealer graded as 8.0 as an upgrade for my 6.0ish copy.
  3. Thanks, Foggy. It’s nice from far but far from nice. Probably 2.5 at best.
  4. Here’s mine. I bought it here on the boards in 2019 because it’s a book that hit the comic racks in December of 1958, the month I was born. The date stamp on this copy must have been from a second hand store.
  5. Is that a popped or almost popped top staple on your 99? If so, my copy also has that problem. I wonder if that's common on that book.
  6. Congrats on the 135! That’s a nice looking copy!
  7. Actually, the price of a low grade ASM 1 is only a few times higher than a 9.0 GRR.
  8. Yep, it's a Golden Record reprint. I'm happy with it...for now.
  9. Thanks! Other than a few upgrades the only ones I need are AF 15 and ASM 1. Unfortunately, neither are going to happen any time soon. This one will suffice as my ASM 1 for the time being.
  10. Thanks. It’s one of the books in my ASM collection that I would like to upgrade.
  11. Today is my 62nd birthday. I thought I would commemorate the date and my age with the relevant covers.
  12. I’m long overdue for contributing some pics to this thread. Daredevil was one of my favourite characters when I first discovered Marvel in 1967, at the age of eight. I wound up with a pretty good run of issues from 7 to around 55 when I lost interest in the title. Unfortunately, those books went missing with the bulk of my comic collection when I was in my teens. I picked up the hobby again in the early 90s and the two books I wanted to focus on getting were DD and ASM. My goal was to only get the DD issues that I had as a kid plus issues 1 to 6 because I love the yellow costume. I decided to take my run up to 60 because it sounded right to end a run at a 10s number. Here are my issues 1 to 10 plus a couple of crossovers that I have handy pics of.
  13. You found the right place to post that beauty. It’s definitely a keeper! I might as well post the copy I picked up on the weekend here, too. No Steranko sig but a gorgeous copy nonetheless.
  14. Picked these up on the weekend. Issues 45, 55 and 65 are upgrades. I now have the classic Lee, Kirby, Sinnott run from issues 44 to 73.
  15. An electrifying copy to be sure! Congrats!
