I hurriedly did my grading off of my phone this weekend while at a convention and absolutely crapped the bed on the last two books. I gave them a 5.5 and 6.5 for 7 big points. I had 11 overall for a disastrous round. I’m happy to hear that others think the books were overgraded.

I also got the which leads me to not feel a great deal of optimism.

I also have it at 3.5.

So it's 1 point for every incremental grade? I had IH 5 @ 1.8 so that's 1 point correct?
Correct

5 points with one 🎯 on The Hulk. Three last second changes cost me a point each and two more 🎯 .

What I meant is, does this mean everyone did better than 3? Or are the best scores 3?
It means that 3 is the best score so far. It would be next to impossible for everyone else to do better than 3.

Grades are in and I’m feeling very confident…
…that I won’t get a perfect score in the first round this time.

In case any of you Flash fans haven’t heard; DC will be releasing a cover to cover facsimile edition of Flash #105 on September 26th. Now, if only they would also do that with the four Showcase appearances.

I can't tell you how many hours I spent staring at the ASM covers especially 39 and 40. At first I was shocked...suddenly Peter Parker was handsome? I felt that after # 52 that the stories suffered a bit, but JRSR's artwork never faltered.
One of my great moments was meeting him at an AACC banquet at SDCC. He gave me his address so that I could send him the picture I took of him and Gene Colan (there may have been someone else in the photo, but I don't remember. All my AACC photos are in floppy disc drives...someday I will need to get them converted into a viewable format). What a gentleman as well as a super nice guy.
In his honor, I will read a couple ASM by him today (from the run listed above).
I only have one piece of Romita Sr. original art (attached). As you can see, he did a pretty great Captain America.
RIP Mr. Romita.
I agree with your comments about the excellence of issues 39-52. I extend my personal list to include issues 53-56 as that is when I started collecting Marvel.
R.I.P. Mr. Romita.

Too tough to call between these two for the 51-60 slot.
