  5. you know its not bad. if they would of threw in even a suggestion of back ground it would of brought the piece to life.
  6. Ha, not even a greenhouse, some UV lighting and Scotts would help make that happen. LOL im sorry. I couldn't resist. Its not everyday I can work in a decent gardening joke.
  7. Does the artist owe you money or are you the Message board sheriff? Maybe we should go protest outside of Fugits house until we shame him into doing what you want. FUGIT, I want the apology to be in the form of a Haiku. It evokes more sincerity and thought. Get writing! Sorry I also want you to give us 3 Our Fathers and a Hail Mary or you better now show your face around these parts again!
  8. Any Green Lantern fans out there, I got 2 nice slabs at Auction ending Sunday. 1st Vandal Savage and 1st Gambler. Best part is they're also on the cover. Golden Age goodness! https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/green-lantern-10-dc-1943-cgc-fn-55-off-white-pages/a/121944-11543.s?ic2=myconsignmentspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyConsignment-112816 https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/green-lantern-12-dc-1944-cgc-vf-75-off-white-to-white-pages/a/121944-11544.s?ic2=myconsignmentspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyConsignment-112816 Happy bidding
  9. If there is a grail out there, don't fret, DDD will get em all. If there's a piece you want, just wait it out. Divorce, Disease or Death is coming. Unless its a Jim Lee commission. Those meatheads are keeping them forever. Happy hunting!
  10. i didnt know it until i framed and put it on the wall, now its one of my favorites... A modern indie classic IMO. Published by Image Comics. A coming of age tale told through the eyes of a group of French orphans during World War 2 who are saved by a brave and daring American boy named Peter.
  11. Meathead? I fancy myself more of an Archie. How quickly we devolve to name calling. Btw it was 350 not 35 shares.
  12. The select few Jim Lee commissioners continuing to defend their purchases despite the thread having gone cold, illuminates to me ones true inner feelings more than a stylized namor or batman ever could. Alas to each his own, I'd rather have 350 shares of MO @ 8% for life. Either way no need to keep defending your actions against an invisible judge. Enjoy your depreciating asset, er I mean commission!
  13. Ha good to know. I will start practicing my Oliver Twist gaze so I am ready for him.
  14. young clark being a creep in the corn fields. - ryan sook pencils and inks
  15. Jim Lee Magneto commission - $15k Venti Caramel Macchiatto with Jim Lee - priceless That quote was awesome. Your friend sounds super smaht!
  16. Your welcome. Neal has inspired me. I want .05 a post, comment or reply moving forward.
  17. Neal, the Don Fanucci of comic book artists.
  18. Neal Adams was doing a live Q&A on FB tonight from a comic book store. I asked his thoughts on the final hammer price of his iconic cover to Batman 251. He responded that he was still in talks w the seller to verify that it was real and the actual OA cover. Until then he couldn't actually say. Ill leave it right there. Here is the link. I believe it was around the 42 min mark.
  19. Just curious of other peoples opinions. If you have a piece worth $3-5k, do you prefer it go in weekly Sunday sale or the quarterly big auction? Better to be a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in a big pond? Do you feel the same about your preference if it was a comic (same value) or would that make you feel differently?
