  1. 9.2-9.4, just a guess, I see a small crease at the lower reading corner on the back cover as well. Nope, I will stick at the 9.4
  2. As it sits, I would guess a 6.5 to a 7.0.
  3. I was at a 3.0, tanning and other defects, but still a tough book to find in any condition.
  4. I will through a 7.5 to an 8.0 out, Book looks great! date stamp is in a good location too.
  5. 5.5, not meaning to take the middle ground, I was going 5.5 b4 I saw the other grades. The spine creases and wear and a few other creases visible makes me think its a little below a 6, but I have been wrong many times b4!
  6. I think you could pull a 3.5 with a press. JMO
  7. I agree with the 4.5 after a press. I don't know how much the press will help most of the creasing though.
  8. Can u imagine the work involved? Organization, Prize threads, All the pms, The math, All the s#%$t I wouldn't have a clue about! I don't know how they have the time during the day...I don't know how they do it!
  9. Looks great on display! I like the track! Great idea!
  10. The roadshow just had a side piece with the appraiser at one of the side tables as they sometimes do, it wasn't a main "featured" interview. I tried to look it up but had no luck. It was a long time ago though, I was just looking at their website and saw one from 2017 that was cool though. 15$-20$ thousand
  11. I think an app 5.5? Maybe a 6, but I feel safe at a 5.5
  12. Wow, That is a scary nice cover! IMO, this book presents like an 8.5-9.0 without the stain. I can't seem to see the stain from the outside though. I would estimate an 8.0, maybe the nicest presenting 8.0 ever!. I have no idea about removal of the stain, but I would leave it as is if it were mine!
  13. I saw that Antiques Roadshow, That was crazy. It was at least 3 or 4 years ago, but I will never forget it!
  14. Sir, I will throw an 8.5 out, I see some type of spots on the "t" in captain on the cover and a corner crease on the back cover. There may be some light soiling on the covers as well but I have never seen this book up close before. I wouldn't doubt a clean and press would raise it higher and eventually, others may give you a better idea. Nice book!
  15. Very nice book! I was at the 7.5, I can't see why a clean and press couldn't make it hit an 8.5
  16. I have a few, but like others, I like to hold on to way too much( per the wife). I will buy a few hundred here and there at auctions or local sales and sell off most of the common stuff on ebay. I try to be fair, I sell under jsp0428. I work and have a wife and three kids, I am not loaded, but I have found 3 or 4 1500 book + lots that I have sold off over the last 12-15 years or so. It's a fun hobby. I think I prefer the hunt for new books better than anything. Thanks for all your input everyone, I will check out the naughty lists and maybe give it a try. Ebay + paypal usually seems like it takes 15-17% off the top but then again, who has millions of buyers walking into their store daily? All great points you guys have made. Thanks
