Thanks Greggy.

I recently filled out a CGC submission form for various comic books and one particular set of books gave me a challenge. I’m hoping with your assistance I can be be pointed in the right direction.
Who is the publisher for Faro’s Lounge books? Is it BoogalooCO or Bookoocomix, or something completely different? Thank you.

Good evening, everyone. Thought I'd post this, if you are not aware. Just found out about it an hour or so ago. I've included a link to the website:
Good luck.

I bought all of my current issues at drug stores. I passed by one on the way to and from school so afternoon stops were almost a daily occurrence. What a magical smell those old school drug stores had.
Around the same time that I bought the 55, which would have been September of 1967, a couple of friends and I hopped the bus to a used book store somebody told me about. We were 8 years old. Anyway, this little book store, owned by a guy who looked like the Terrible Tinkerer, had second hand comics under the counter. The Tinkerer pulled out the stack for me and I walked out of there with 25 books from 1966 and 67, mostly ASM and Tales of Suspense, maybe a few FF, for the princely sum of $1.25. I know I got most of the early Romita issues, including 39 and 40, in the haul. It was a joyous moment in my life that I'll never forget.
I too bought my very first ASM Issue 260 at my local drug store back in January 1985. Later, I started to purchase from a bookstore in Rochester, MN for all my comics. At the time the cover price was .60¢.

Good afternoon to all fellow ASM collectors. Just received in the mail yesterday. I’m like many of you, I’m a completionist. Working on ASM Vol 1. I had an original ASM 300, bought when I was a junior in high school. Had it graded about 4 years ago, came back a CGC 9.4. Decided to sell it, regret it to this day, but decided to pull the trigger on my new addition.

For me it’s all about #10 on the original list. That ASM 700 Ditko was such an awesome book to come out.
I couldn’t agree more. I’m actually sending in mine (9.4) to be regraded/press today, fingers crossed.

Thank you, OSkywalker. I actually looked, via website before the books arrived. A little nervous, since the first 2 I purchased at a LCS in Texas & Arizona.

Congratulations Obsidian00!!! I’m curious, I take it you submitted for the Dell’otto private signing a few months back? I’m still waiting on my six books I sent in for it. Once again, congratulations.

Excellent work! I have been searching for the right one for awhile. Yours has a good wrap and is well centered in the newest case just like I want. The book is a classic and hard to come by for the good price.
Thank you, Summydad1. Been on my radar for a while, had to pull the trigger, since I hesitated on the last one that sold back in June.

Be hilarious if it was Frank Miller sig. Anything in the grading notes?
"Light crease right top of front cover."That was all. I don't understand why grader notes are not included on all submissions. -

Could that be what brought the grade down to a 9.4?
William-James, I just looked at my submission page, via CGC and the grader notes said only this - light crease right top of front cover. They don't mention what the name was unfortunately.

Love the Sig on the 158
I do too! Interesting fact, I never looked through the book, which I see CGC has indicated a written name within the 1st page, no clue who's the name.

How much luck have you had submitting for a higher grade?

Wrong date.
I bought a Danger Girl 2 Ruby Red foil raw at the SDCC in 1998. I submitted it 20 years later without a press, plus I had it signed by J. Scott Campbell, via a CGC at the 2017 Boston Comic Con. Came back a 9.6. I asked the same question over 3 years ago and submitted it slabbed, but with a press. Came back a 9.8. I’m not guaranteeing you the same outcome, but it’s worth a try. If you don’t, you’ll always wonder, what if.
