I have a book I'm watching that looks like it could grade higher than the assigned grade.  Has anyone ever re-submitted and received a higher grade? If so, did you leave it in the slab or crack it and send it in raw?

I bought a Danger Girl 2 Ruby Red foil raw at the SDCC in 1998. I submitted it 20 years later without a press, plus I had it signed by J. Scott Campbell, via a CGC at the 2017 Boston Comic Con. Came back a 9.6. I asked the same question over 3 years ago and submitted it slabbed, but with a press. Came back a 9.8. I’m not guaranteeing you the same outcome, but it’s worth a try. If you don’t, you’ll always wonder, what if. 3AD6198D-0E3B-4A81-8054-3C11C185F5F6.thumb.png.a0dda71c2765cf1ddb0acafc2649ca64.png

  2. I recently filled out a CGC submission form for various comic books and one particular set of books gave me a challenge. I’m hoping with your assistance I can be be pointed in the right direction.

Who is the publisher for Faro’s Lounge books? Is it BoogalooCO or Bookoocomix, or something completely different? Thank you.

I bought all of my current issues at drug stores. I passed by one on the way to and from school so afternoon stops were almost a daily occurrence. What a magical smell those old school drug stores had. :cloud9:

Around the same time that I bought the 55, which would have been September of 1967, a couple of friends and I hopped the bus to a used book store somebody told me about. We were 8 years old. Anyway, this little book store, owned by a guy who looked like the Terrible Tinkerer, had second hand comics under the counter. The Tinkerer pulled out the stack for me and I walked out of there with 25 books from 1966 and 67, mostly ASM and Tales of Suspense, maybe a few FF, for the princely sum of $1.25. I know I got most of the early Romita issues, including 39 and 40, in the haul. It was a joyous moment in my life that I'll never forget.

I too bought my very first ASM Issue 260 at my local drug store back in January 1985. Later, I started to purchase from a bookstore in Rochester, MN for all my comics. At the time the cover price was .60¢.

Congratulations Obsidian00!!! I’m curious, I take it you submitted for the Dell’otto private signing a few months back? I’m still waiting on my six books I sent in for it. Once again, congratulations.
