  1. this is close. it's not 100% inclusive, i don't think
  2. nice COIE pickup. i have to get my run slabbed some day. they're all...well, i don't want to jinx myself. Suffice to say that your scan and my books could be twins. i picked up a run yesterday of Avengers 181-189 on the Bay for 21 bucks shipped. The scans on the auction showed the books as 9.0-9.4 candidates, but we will have to see. either way, it fills a rather sizable hole in a run i've only started recently collecting. still need a 177 in nm but will have to wait until next month as i am already through my budget for this one
  3. not to hijack or anything, but all the talk about the various artists reminds me of this site i came across a while back. although it's only an inch deep, it's about ten miles wide: http://lambiek.net/artists/index.htm all kinds of artists, from Kim Fupz Aakeson to some cat named Zyx. here's an example for you: the Kurt Schaffengerger page. now back to your regularly scheduled Scrooge posts. This thread gets ten gold stars, and I'm not even that much a fan of fifties books, so consider that high praise indeed, sir
  4. much belated kudos to Artboy99 for his quick payment for a stack of Hulks I had sitting around. Further kudos for his patience in dealing with Customs and making this first-time seller feel comfortable about the delay.
  5. picked this bad boy up... also got some NM- Avengers - 158, 190, 193 & 194
  6. i've got a Howard the Duck 4 that looks worse. so at least you got that going for you
  7. i'd rather like to read part one, but it's blurry as heck on my screen. for my money, the artwork of Hank Ketchum is some of the historically most underrated in the medium. the guy always had clean lines, and a believable feel to the work.
  8. which ones do you need? i have 1-5, 7 and 8 in 9.2-9.4+. haven't been out of their bags - except to change plastic - in nearly twenty years
  9. fyi, anyone doing scans should always set the DPI at 72, since thats the highest your monitor can display. i have a pristing copy of this. been so long since i read it i honestly don't know if it qualifies or not
  10. that's the ish i'm talking 'bout. the man picks up the Baxter Building. course, his strength was mostly psionic, but still...the Baxter Building. yeesh
  11. i think perhaps Gladiator - the old version - would make that list up there, too. course, the mohawk will cost him a few votes
  12. cosmic spider-man is the correct answer. didn't you folks read ASM 328?
  13. damn, but that's a nice book, rob. great cover, even without the sexy sexy gams
  14. looks to me like they didn't penalise him at all for the sig... great pickup Jeff! sell a few scripts and you'll be able to upgrade the upgrade
  15. man...i've read about stan lee doing actual artwork before - and he's not a fan of his own efforts by any stretch - but it's cool to see it for real. even if it seems strange that a giant horned monster would be wearing boots, a miniskirt and a belt. great books! thanks for sharing!
  16. I would be more than happy to take scans of any of issues on the list I just posted. Please feel free to e-mail to: admin@stlcomics.com THANKS!!! i'll hit you up with an email when i get home tonight. i haven't done the Flash on account of the FREEZER TAPE i put on it long ago in a misguided and ultimately very stupid attempt to sell the thing.
  17. day-ummm...i've got stacks of these dadgum things...all in terrible to not quite decent quality, although my B&TB 157 is decent enough to look at... i always though they were subpar...reprints...so i never bagged 'em lemme go through mine and see what i've got. i'll just list them here, and if you still need scans, PM me or just post here and i'll see what i can getcha JLA 166 & 168 Superboy & Legion 256 Flash 276
  18. He the same guy that did the X-Men Index, with the Brent Anderson cover that finished up in the mid-160's? It's got the Champions run also, and something else I can't quite remember
