You have the tickets to purchase an Action 1 if you so desire.

That is a true statement, I remember the conversation I had to have with my wife after purchasing my 9.0, the same year that Storms was trying to sell the Diamond run he and Showcase shared for $100k . It was an obscene amount of money for me at the time and now it's a 1.5 price , nuts!

Any chance at a group shot ?
Sure, I'll revisit this thread when I grab the 8.0 for the buyer next week.

The CVA one. But yours is old label and not cleaned/pressed. So it trumps that copy.
The first CVA listed was a very nice copy, that i almost bought MANY years ago. And to think I balked at 32k ...............

You are the king of the AF15. Not too shabby.
Well I have less than 20k into all 3 books, rich in comics not in cash

8.0s seem to be dime a dozen nowadays.
I get your post, but I wouldn't "quite" state it that way. It's a tough book to find above 7.0 and honestly I would only call one copy Josh sold an 8.0

You have posted one copy that is graded. And the other two ?
8.0, 9.0, 9.4 Respectively all graded . Parting with the 8.0 as that seems to be a really sweet spot in the market and my copy has never been pressed, I don't think it would get a bump and personally I do not believe in cleaning and pressing ANY books but it adds to the value.

Don't agree.
I don't either , i was just being flippant. Personally with this market I think multiple low to to mid grade copies is the sweet spot right now, With just a handful being able to afford the top copies.Expensive books are always a PITA to sell IMHO

Given the amount of AF15s he has likely bought from Storms, he probably got a call be fore it was listed first.
And I thought my 3 copies were too much. But given the fact that they were all purchased 15-20 years ago I don't have anywhere near the investment

No fun to just own one book.
I agree, I think he should go for a 9.0 and a 9.4

Not sure if i could afford, a 9.4. Would $500k get it done? Probably not since the last 9.2 on cl sold for close to that. And the cc cgc 9.0 sold for $400k. I be lucky to get 9.2 at where i'm at
750k and your there presently , wait until next year might be 7 figures. One major benefit of an accurately graded Voldemort holder is that your book won't be damaged by CGC'S inferior inner well, so kudo's there, but that's alot of cheddar for a 6.5 I hope you got a repeat customer discount. I would keep the multiple lower graded copied regardless, MUCH easier to flip

This is true, with great resources comes great collections. However I think that the elusiveness of top copies might surprise even a collector of his level. Considering it took 2 decades to put together the Impossible, I think it might take longer then overnight to achieve similar results in SA, awesome yes, epic no.

How is the spine? No criticism intended but watch the inner well ,looks like its sliding on the bottom. CGC still has quite a ways to come in their design unlike the much superior Voldemort slabs.

next photo is him next to WW after he wins the e-bay on all-star 8.
Sure its not going to be all three copies Pristine has up? Just saying if my bank account had that many zeroes why stop there

I would put that at $300+ , I have many double and triple cover copies and sales and they rarely fetch more then guide, Unless you get into the very key issues . Very cool book though if you want to sell it PM me.

Oh and speaking of who has a handle on AF15'S , Mr Robert Storms has his webs together to say the least. Those needing an affordable copy should check out his site he clearly saw this spike coming , as many of us anticipated. He has the most public copies for sale on the web at the moment , unless you prefer Josh's chipped copies.

the 1st cgc 9.6 copy, the one eric Roberts used to own
amazingspiderfan- did you used to be on the old cgc boards? name rings a bell
I would put it at 2+ million, but how do you get the attention of someone that does not need the money, what would you have to offer to get them to consider it. Putting a price on the near unattainable is a difficult task, unless your a Lebanese ex prime minister's son with a billion dollar bank account and decide you like SA.

Absolutely, people do.
These chat forums are probably the largest concentration of mature comic knowledge on the internet.
Maybe this held true when this place started out 15 years ago.
Today? I think MUCH if not MOST of what is said here ripples into the markets.
Very well said, clearly someone who has a firm grasp on the market

Shouldn't matter much what people say on here. I doubt anybody makes there decisions on buying based on a cheerleader, analyzer, or naysayer
You don't think that speculation adds to the market? Or am I reading too much into your post? In my experience the highest returns I have had are from speculators , using information from all three you listed. Many are comic naive , looking to flip with big bank accounts.

Tommy B is a guy called Tommy Brulato by the way.
He owns ASM 1 9.8, AF15 9.6, Hulk 1 9.4, FF1 9.6, X-Men 1 9.8, Avengers 1 9.6, etc...
You get the picture.
A few years back he and Schmell had the most interesting collecting race for SA supremacy.
Tom vs Doug is akin to Usain Bolt vs Peter Dinklage in that race .
