The same can be said about the Rick character and his constant waffling. Rick in the TV show is like Dale. Whiny. I'd rather watch something entertaining like Shane who moves things along than a waffler any day. Hopefully, it will start moving forward now.

I don't like the Rick actor. His delivery often doesn't ring true. I wish they would've cast an American in that spot rather than an Australian. John Bernthal was the best actor on the show. It's going to be interesting to see how the acting is without him.

Awesome! Very jealous of the cover. I love that Amelia and Tony as a meter maid page. I have issue #14 p15 where Colby gets knocked out by Savoy right after your page. Love it!

Just looked at a preview and the art's not doing it for me. Same. Concept is good. Previewed art... not so much. Saga on the other hand!

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

That's an awesome cover!! -
Same. Except I'd go a bit lower on the estimate. If Fatale just did 20K, I'd put this book around 25K-30K and I'd bet on it being a stronger book on the after-market than Fatale. It has no chance of being YtLM in terms of $, but it's not going to be an Ex Machina either, IMO.

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!
400yrs replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
It was the only raw copy up at the time. Looking at the buyer's activity, he was obviously quickly trying to put together a run of TWD. I was a bit shocked when it sold. I priced it that high so that it wouldn't sell. However, I took my eye off the market for the book for about 2 weeks and it was the only raw out there. And the slabbed copies were all slightly higher. Whenever I put copies of this book out there, I've always priced it higher than the market and it has always sold. This time, I put it way higher expecting it not to sell, but as always, it sold. Regarding the slabbed vs raw - There are a few things to consider: 1. Already mentioned hatred for slabs among collectors 2. Lack of knowledge on the part of buyers - Some people just may not understand slabbing and don't even consider it because that's not how a comic "should" look. They may think you can't crack them out. Hell, I own slabs, but I'd never crack them open because I don't know how and I'd be afraid to screw up the book. Many people buying TWD are not regular comic collectors and therefore wouldn't understand slabs. The simple fact regarding TWD is that this book transcends the audience of just the usual comic book nerds. There are people who've never read comics who are loving this book and trying to put together runs of this because they love it. When that happens, we are bound to see some weird ongoings and things that shock us who regularly watch the comic market. -
Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

Me? Nope. Paid immediately and positive feedback received after arrival. There aren't often many copies of TWD 19 out there. And most are graded. Mine was the only raw copy out there at the time. Alot of TWD collectors actually want raw copies they can look at. Imagine that. -

I sold a raw 9.4-9.6 #19 last week for $178 shipped. #27 isn't really doing much yet. I've moved them for $20-25, but I'm starting to hang on to them rather than sell them for that. -

He's a racist. I'm sure there are other reasons as well. +1. And he spams the boards. I don't know why everyone hates Larry around here either. They love him at KKK meetings? -

Anyone else getting bored with the book? I've been 100% behind this book since the early days, but lately...... This stuff with Carl is tough to swallow. I have no problem suspending disbelief, but the recent ongoings have stretched that beyond the point that Kirkman should have. -

That teaser came out in April, right? Is USM running with a black Spidey? Gotta wonder if they either bit off Kirkman or if Marvel is gearing up for some kind of lawsuit heading Kirkman's way. Marvel is shysterish like that.

The OFFICIAL "This week in your ORIGINAL ART collection?"
400yrs replied to mister_not_so_nice's topic in Original Comic Art
You will notice that I don't choose pages like most OA lovers. Most guys go for the most technical pages or the action pages or double splash spreads. Not me. I looooove the pages that convey emotion. Rob Guillory (Chew) Chew 10 page 21 - My first piece of OA. I liked the scene of them talking on the phone. The hearts around Tony sealed the deal. Chew 13 page 8 - Second page I'd ever bought. Again, another Tony and Amelia page. This time, they are kissing. AND John Colby is on this page showing some of his typical crazy looks AND the final panel as well as the little Guillory add-ins show the humor in the title. Chew 10 page 22 - Since I had previously bought the first page above, I inquired on the page after and got a good enough deal on it. I think it's pretty cool that I have the last 2 pages of this issue. Chew 14 page 15 - My only action page! Mason Savoy taking out John Colby and Tony comforts him. This scene shows a rare caring side to Colby and Tony's sympathy. Love it! Dynamo 5 Holiday Special VARIANT cover! Love, love, love this! Guillory doing one of the best team books ever. Screw all you guys that didn't buy it!!!!!! Paolo Rivera Amazing Spider-Man 638 page 41 - My First Spidey Page!!!! AND it's an ASM page!!!!! This page perfectly captures the whole tone of the OMIT storyline. Heck! It really captures the tone of everything since One More Day (which I liked!)!!!!! LOVE, LOVE LOVE me some Spidey, !! -
After the thing was revealed, I thought before I turned the page that it could go one of two ways - the way it did or the complete opposite. I honestly didn't know which way it would go. Great stuff.

invincible #1 Larry's ww of comics limited edition

Sweet. You probably have another 6 months to catch up before you guys record another one. Slackers. There isn't any legit excitement around the Dark Key line anyway. -

So then you are holding on to the rest? Why not sell them? Your website says it is sold out. Yes, the cover stock on these is nice and thick and glossy. It's the kind of stock that looks like when they get bent up from no protection in transit though. -

400yrs replied to g-man's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I always felt there was more than 1K of these out there. I guess this is confirmation. I bought one of those 10 packs of these you were selling. They came in a priority mailer with no bags and boards or protection. Your packaging is Awesome!! How was the show? I bet some of the geeks who were intending to go to the comic show saw the porn show and headed that way instead. Who needs comics when fat geek boys can circle jerk and get rubber ? -
Whoa. You aren't kidding. Did the third trade come out recently or something?
-
I honestly have no idea how things will play out after the last few pages in #76.
