Thanks man! I thoguht I had more of this 5-issue LB Cole cover run, but I only had the #41 - which is also a really cool honey-bee cover. After making a few larger Cole-cover purchases I'm having fun filling in a few holes in the lesser popular titles.

I had been looking for a nice copy of this one for a while, and since it was Halloween last week someone put this one up on the bay so I was all to happy to snag it last night:

I think I now have 3 of the Cole x-mas covers, but there's still 1 or 2 more for me to go. I'll track 'em all down eventually!

I'd wager that the cover came first and was then used on the interior later. Incidentally, the cover to that Holdiay Comics issue I posted was also used as the interior splash of another Star comic, I believe it was: FRISKY ANIMALS #52. The interior covers told parts of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and it used that Santa splash.

I'm not sure when or where that Baker art was used, but the GCDB has the BBWT #115 at October 1952. Also I just snagged this one. 'Tis almost the season, and I just missed out of 2 LB Cole covers on ebay so I made a deal for this one:

Or that the book looked too nice for a 6.0 holder. That's usually the case. It's either the "too nice" part or it just got even more popular. Even with that page quality I don't think it's passed 2K yet - until now! Wait - on ebay a 6.0 CR-OW went for $2181. Still can't believe the Circle 8 pedigree 7.0 OW/WH got $5,500...

Great #6! Last yellow costume and 1st, 1st Mr. Fear! That is a cool cover, I wish it had a background though. I wonder how my copy stacks up, I haven't looked at it in forever. I "need" an upgraded #4. Something mid-grade would be ok. Anyone else get anything from CL last night?

Those Target books are amazing! I was looking at some of those covers on-line just yesterday. There's still a few LB Cole's I'm missing from that run, and there are a few other covers that just look too cool not to own.

What grade was it at? What's the GPA on a lower grade to mid grade anyone? Is the book still rising? Sharp copy! I love how cops had such amazing accuracy back then. Just scored 2 I've been looking for: Not the best romance cover, but the floating lips are awesome. The shadow in the center is a tad odd. And this is #1 in the run. I like the multiple images.

Those are beautiful covers. I think you need a few more to complete the sci-fi shot but you have the difficult ones. Thanks! I have most of the Ghostly Weird ones, and almost included my #122, but opted not too. I thought of them as more horror related. Now the BB #105 has been a pain in my . It doesn't come up that often and a 4.0 just sold on ebay for $525, if it was a legit sale which it does appear to be. I'm on the lookout tho...
