  1. +1!!! What an amazing set of pics! Unreal...
  2. Congrats man! Nice copy! Hey - does Superman kill any of the nazi's? Just curious. I always loved it how even Batman killed people back then and wondered if Jor-El did too.
  3. DUDE! You need a want list! Nice haul! It's a collector's dream!
  4. Excellent books guys! I just love this one though. The greens, the background details, and monster wiping his mouth.... I LOVE IT!!!
  5. Very cool MM! I came across that cover a few months ago. Atomic Man was then on the cover of the next issue, and I wouldn't mind owning a nice copy of that one!
  6. Found a few bargains this weekend. I'm getting this one for around $10 and I hadn't seen it available before. Missing a few chips out of the bottom but otherwise looks great: And then this one, which just gets STUPID $, but maybe everyone was watching the NBA finals or Mad Men last night. Looks to be about VG-, and that's good enough for me, especially considering what I shelled out for it.
  7. Thanks! And in the category of I cannot be stopped.... I grabbed these 2! This one, I hadn't seen too often before and got it cheap: And this one I had to snag as it is an upgrade and I will now have the only 2 copies I've ever seen up for grabs:
  8. This is an amazing looking 2.5! Me likie! Great books everyone. I had the one on the left, but I just got the one on the right...
  9. Thanks so much guys! MrBedrock: That is a perfect copy for my tastes. Well done sir! I always liked the yellow sig on that one. Damonwad: Thanks! Nice avatar! One of these days I'll have to upgrade my Mask issues, and seeing those nice copies above make that tempting. Until then I'll be sipping my martini while I sit next to these 2 beauties which shall henceforth be known as... THE SPIDER SET!
  10. Thanks all!!! I remember first looking at LB Cole covers and I was just happy to grab some low grade romance books or a funny animal book never thinking I'd be able to get even ONE of the infamous "spider" covers - and now I have them BOTH! This is certainly a grail book, and one I won't be parting with anytime soon!
  11. Good stuff! KirbyJack - that looks like a 5-6.0 from here. Not bad!
  12. Amazing copy! Congrats! I've been quiet on this thread the last few weeks because I've been waiting for this to arrive and I finally picked it up yesterday! Scan courtesy of the boardie who I purchased it from. (thumbs u Hopefully I'll have time before the B's game tonight to take pics of it with it's sister cover, the STT #11. I really never thought I'd be able to own this book and I'm ecstatic that I've now got it in my greedy little hands. Now, to hunt down a Suspense #4 and the elusive Capt Aero #26 (along with the laundry list of stuff in my sig line)!
  13. Mags: very cool! namisgr: Killer copy!!!
  14. I agree, If he was on the cover, or even if his name was mention somewhere, the book would be of higher value and demand IMO So true. Plus he's not only not even in #112, but: 1) he's not even mentioned on a cover until #117 2) not pictured until #118, and then not again until #121 3) and after being passed over multiple times entirely and sharing covers he doesn't get his own full cover until #146!!! I always liked this splash that I think is from his origin story in #115 that Marvel used as the Milestone ish cover:
  15. MagnetoWR: Great stuff! What was this "Stan Lee Event" that yours was signed at? Do you know? I saw your group shot in another thread, hoped you'd post! dgarth: You're sitting on $$$, you know that.... right? Good stuff!
  16. Thanks! I'm not a huge fan of the cover either. Not only are the blacks problematic, but there's the dark URC and there's a lot of white / tan on the cover that would show issues easily. Throw in that it's the "Marvel chipping era" and high grade copies aren't as common in this issue as others. If the good Doc was on the cover in some capacity then this book would have been worth 2x as much as it is today a long time ago. One thing about these Marvel Silver Age keys, no matter how much they go up, they don't fall down too much. GOOD LUCK!
  17. I've been playing on this section of the boards for a bit now and haven't seen a thread for the 1st appearance of Doctor Strange and I think it's about time! So if you've got a copy of Strange Tales #110 that you'd like to post and share, this is the place! Here's my copy: (If this is a dupe thread, please feel free to ignore / delete me)
  18. FYI - Looks like they are putting out a Canteen Kate collection: http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/25885.html
  19. BTW - This is very cool! It was trendy to have CD's with books back then. I think I have a Megadeth book that came w/ a CD too....
  20. Thanks! I swear I have more Hellina's somewhere. Sometime soon I'll have to go through my boxes of signed books and see what I can find. I've got a ton of cool books in there including a bunch of CHAOS! books. I have nearly every book they ever made, except for a bunch of variants towards the end and the stupid rare ones. I have a Chastity that's like 1 of only 5 that I got from their offices when I visited.
  21. I dunno how hard some of these are to find, but I was putting comics away yesterday and pulled out a few books that you don't see that often. Here's a few pics: Danger Girl, of course. Then Adam Pollina's Hellhole followed by a bunch of Hellina issues, most of which are variants. I'm pretty sure I have even more Lightning Comics variants including a nude one but they may be signed and I keep my signed comics in another box. 90's Image series, Nine Volt I liked when it came out: Here's some random ones! Weapon Brown is Cable crossed with Charlie Brown - funny stuff! The Warrior Nun book is a 1/700 leather cover. Then there's the other book, I don't even know where I got it. Here's a bunch of More Than Mortal books. Great are in this series. Again, I've got more but they are signed and elsewhere: Shotgun Mary. These books stood out back then:
