  1. It has been officially announced that this is everything for Phase 4, sadly. Hence my disappointment and borderline boycott.
  2. I would just give, "Estimated 0.5", after every inquiry. Could bring collecting restored comics back to the hobby!
  3. It's only considered "misuse" if you get offended by everything at every turn, which is... Jumping the shark.
  4. The mods don't typically reward warning points for "defending" yourself. It's normally when you go on a tangent and begin attempting personal attacks in response. Which was/is a habitual occurrence.
  5. It makes sense, but would set a dangerous precedent, as the CCS guys don't grade for CGC.
  6. Color me surprised that someone would blame another individual for their own misdeeds, though. How about some accountability and responsibility? You're never going to learn with a victim's attitude.
  7. Calling out the mods has historically been a great idea...
  8. Yeah, the Spider-Drone was lame. I didn't care for Karen one way or the other. Very cool that they hired Bettany's wife to do the voice acting, though.
  9. I think that Marvel TV will be restructuring after Disney+ is live, no...? It could be that they're experimenting whether or not Marvel Studios/Kevin Feige can manage 2 different mediums. If the new shows don't blow up, then they may in fact keep Marvel TV going. If they do blow up, then I suspect that they're going to keep everything under 1 umbrella (just as Feige wants it).
  10. I wish I worked in Hollywood... Consulting for Kevin Feige or Zack Snyder would've been pretty cool... Having a bunch of Ant-Men going after a humanoid Galactus would be pretty weird, though. Tough to imagine being able to choreograph anything that doesn't look silly in the final product. And, yeah, of course the prototypical MCU humor would make its way... They didn't do that for Thanos, though. Part of what made him such a menacing and, IMO, perfect villain. Part of what made Black Panther great, again IMO (and mentioned in Honest Trailers), was his lack of quipping. I guess time will tell if Jackie Chan makes for a good MCU film. If done well, I suspect that comic fans may enjoy it. I also suspect that the casual fan will not care for it regardless of whether or not we like it.
  11. 1. Not pressing comics is not "dumb". That's a very pedantic way of thinking. 2. Yes, I suggest that you do send it to CGC in its current slab. 3. Yes, you have to pay for full grading service again. 4. Keep in slab, as previously mentioned. 5. Yes, a lower grade is possible.
  12. The comics are fine, sure. You have a giant human-shaped Galactus in the comics. I don't think you can go all Unicron and just have this planet-sized humanoid on screen, though. Things work differently between books and film. Had Marvel Studios done a slower build, with Shang-Chi prior to Iron Man, and more strictly-human characters I think that may have worked. In an MCU with Thor, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel etc I don't think he fits in at this point.
  13. He just doesn't seem to fit the type of character that builds on the MCU in self-titled films. More like a sidekick Black Widow/Hawkeye type.
  14. GotG had what I consider to be the "magic formula", though. A human character (Star-Lord) involved in a story that expands the MCU (galactic creatures, Power Stone, Thanos) leading to a point. Shang-Chi is just Jackie Chan with MCU history. Human element is there, but instead of expanding the MCU it's toning it down to just the human level, and dragging in history (Mandarin, Ten Rings) instead of building future. It could be a good solo kinda flick, but in today's massively-expansive MCU, I just don't see the fit.
  15. Can you trump 4? I had, like, 19 back in December.
  16. Well, obviously the strength has to be storytelling. My point is that in an expanding and ever-cosmic MCU, why would we be interested in such a bare-bones human character within the current MCU? I suspect that it can be a good movie, or a good comic book movie, if they play to character strengths and storytelling. Obviously, The Mandarin and Ten Rings tie it to MCU history, but I'm highly skeptical of any impact to the future of the MCU.
  17. I'm just trying to transfer my warning points, man. I don't want 'em anymore.
  18. How/why..? Just because Stark gave him electric nun-chucks in the comics or whatever? If he gets cosmic power to duplicate himself, oh no! He can be like all of the other generic armies that Marvel has shoved down our throats! Like HYDRA, SHIELD, The Chitauri, Ultron, The Outriders, etc etc etc. He basically is just a highly-trained athlete. Or, if "cosmic"-powered, just like multiple trained athletes... So what's the actual draw..?
  19. Guy's trying to antagonize 10 people at the same time...
