  1. Doesn't "C" indicate "carppy" quality restoration? It's entirely possible that they can't remove all of the color touch without even more significant damage being done.
  2. 191 times? Holy . He helped crown the Champ, though, so thanks! If more people actually saw the movie a couple times, that would be great. I can't count the amount of times people cry, "but plot holes", and I have to inform them that they're flat-out incorrect. Happens on every single FB post about the digital-Blu-ray release.
  3. Another instance of using someone else's money as insurance. Depending on risk vs reward, he may be doing what I consider the "right" thing.
  4. I don't really care for sigs on pre-Moderns.
  5. So, Phase 4 is going to have less films than any preceding Phase, and force TV tie-ins for the first time. Bad formula. Not even sure if I wanna see Doctor Strange ITMOM at this point. Who cares about Valkyrie's orientation? Shouldn't her 1st priority be fixing Asgard's problems, not a love interest..? Shouldn't we be responsible for not forcing this drek on younger generations..?
  6. You're delusional if you think she's the "prettiest lady in Hollywood". Olivia Wilde? Bryce Dallas Howard? Christina Hendricks? There's hundreds of better-looking, less-annoying, and in better Thor-shape than Portwoman. She's just awful in fantasy-genre films. And the Foster-'Thor' run was awful. Just a clusterf^&* of awfulness.
  7. Don't do this. CM was only a financial "hit" because of its billing as a must-see between Infinity War and Endgame.
  8. LOL @ the logo comments. True stuff. None of the logos that they shared look good. Especially the Loki one. Wtf is even going on there..?
  9. Yes. Ragnarok, Infinity War, and Endgame complete a trilogy arc for Bruce Banner and Hulk. Ragnarok shows Hulk in the driver's seat - to the point where Banner is afraid of completely losing control. Infinity War showcases the Hulk being afraid of Banner being completely in control, and simply using him as a weapon. Endgame is, as the professor says himself, the complete harmony of the brains and the brawn. Yes, unfortunately we didn't get to see an epic showdown and revenge for the Hulk vs Thanos, but I am completely at peace with his history. He did get to show that he has the strength of body and mind to wield the Gauntlet in a capacity that mirrors Thanos' Decimation. That was enough redemption for me.
  10. Thanks for the stories! For a movie with "Justice" in its title - Warner Bros certainly didn't do it any justice.
  11. Fair enough! However, have you considered buying an already-CGC'd 9.8 copy of this book? Or is that not within your budget? I only ask because most Moderns aren't worth having a graded copy below NM/M.
  12. Man of Steel is a perfect adaptation of 'what if Superman was real in the 21st century'. I'm not claiming that it's a "perfect movie". Context matters. I'd actually like to know what non-Superman/comic fans think of MoS. I don't really know anyone who isn't familiar with vintage Supes.
  13. Some people seem to like it. Most of the people I know don't. It'll likely make them money. If it doesn't perform very well, though... A lot of people that like the idea hate Portman portraying female Thor. So, it seems like most people are bothered by 1 thing or another.
  14. They announced her as "Thor", though. Also, the hammer will come from..? They're undoing the storytelling that built up the trust in this franchise. This was the wrong direction to go in for Thor and the MCU. May as well bring the Eye of Agamotto back for Doctor Strange. Bring everyone and everything back to life, like the comics! I'm really sour on this.
  15. Isn't Mercury in retrograde? @Get Marwood & I, what are you doing with your life?
  16. Gotcha. Your restoration removal comment has legs. It could also be a case of the cover tearing at the staple, and the owner removing the piece that was torn. I used to do that all the time...
