I don't know jack- about Shang-Chi, but... Are people really going to be interested in a "hero" whose only "power" is expert martial artist..? Isn't he just kinda the Asian-male version of Black Widow, without all of the spy intuition..? I mean, don't get me wrong, I think the film has potential from a martial arts/fighting perspective, but as a Phase 4 MCU film?

Are general audiences or casual fans even going to be interested in this film? In every movie (outside of Thor, but as I have mentioned before, his story is the most tragic) there's a human element to connect with. If this is just more cosmic-space mumbo-jumbo, then what's going to create gravity for psychological or emotional investment..?

For example: Highest Graded CGC (Blue) AC #1: 9.0 Highest Graded CGC (Blue) Superman #1: 8.0 Any others?

I usually only post in the PGM section when I'm here at work. Massive monitors that allow me to examine the comics very well (for doing so from images on the computer). At home, I only have a 13" laptop, so I try to stay off these sub-forums there because I catch myself being unable to notice flaws when I look back at my posts... Must've still be half-sleep when I "graded" this one yesterday...

Are we talking about professionals who work for large companies, or 'amateurs'? The professionals should be examining every page (and I think that CGC does). In that case, they should be able to catch any writing. It would be noticeable under the conditions in which they examine. When it comes to 'amateurs', I'm certain that most don't examine every page and sell based on skimming the comics and grading mostly based on exterior condition. There are certainly 'amateurs' who are as good as the professionals, though.

A grail is basically "best of". If X-Men #94 is someone's most-wanted X-Men comic, then that's their grail (for that title). Idk if most can list a one-above-all grail considering how many great comic titles exist. My "grail" is possibly-acquirable top-of-the-list. I know I'll never own a Superman or Batman #1.

Wouldn't it be great if the Sinister Six were not only the penultimate Spidey villains in the MCU, but a means for the next team-up..? Imagine: "Avengers: Spider-Verse". 1st credit scene for 'in the Multiverse of Madness' sees Green Goblin and Doc Oc cross-universe. 2nd credit scene sees Lizard and Electro cross-universe. Turns out Vulture and Mysterio were working on the theory that the multiverse actually does exist (with Baron Mordo and Dormammu sorcery). Then, in Phase 5, the credit scene for Spider-Man 3 (released at the tail end - right before Avengers 5) shows Doctor Strange arrive in Parker's presence with Maguire and Garfield as Spider-Men. Crazy .

You can't simply adjust for inflation. That number is a fallacy. Quality of competition, among other things, also matters. You can't 'do the math' on 1 number and have truthiness in face value.

After the SDCC MCU Phase 4 announcements, I'm starting to lose my passion for CBMs. I was completely against the Pattinson casting, and now I simply don't care.

Despite Rogue One being a mediocre movie, IMO, the cinematography was A+. This is a good move despite having a poop Batman.

People are talking about it being re-released before Avatar 2 hits theaters to possibly overtake Endgame.
