  1. With a corner like that I'd hesitate paying anything above 9.0 price.
  2. Where do you draw this observation from? I was open-minded to a Venom movie, despite not jiving with the character being an anti-hero rather than a villain, and not deriving his origin in the prototypical expectation. The movie was bad, though. The Joker hasn't even had a trailer yet. It's too early to speculate on "acceptance".
  3. They're not "in my collection" yet since I just ordered them, but I got some truly great deals, and am so excited to have them delivered within the next week. A lot of good reading material: Spawn Origins HC #1 First Printing* 2018's Infinity Gauntlet Slipcase Box Set Batman: The Golden Age #2 TPB Batman: The Golden Age #3 TPB Batman: The Golden Age #4 TPB Batman: The Golden Age #5 TPB *This completes my Spawn Origins 1st Edition collection (all 20 TPBs and all 10 HCs are first printings). I still need the 4 Deluxe Editions, though.
  4. Why comics can be valuable: Your eyes will be capable of reading them until you die. Why VHS tapes are worthless: DVDs. Blu-rays. 4K. And don't try the "first printing" argument, because that would be the actual film delivered to theaters.
  5. If I buy all of the raw Spawn #1s on the market right now, I'll have a monopoly on the market when the reboot comes out. Cue that, "money money money money money money" song Jesse Pinkman was listening to in BB. Just don't tell Swami or Hollywood.
  6. I would take literally no chances as you have one of the biggest comics of all-time that looks fantastic. If it was mine, I wouldn't let it leave my possession again until I have/want to sell it.
  7. I am, actually. How many villain-turned-hero movies can you stand? All of them? I have a higher threshold for "entertainment". It can only be done so many times before it's boring (like, now). Let villains be villains. It's not like Venom was a new concept. Loki has already gone back-and-forth so many times. Magneto, too. Venom offered nothing new to the genre.
  8. Yes, but I need to see the Joker do Joker things. There are plenty of movies with good stories. The film is titled "The Joker" after all. It needs to be a combination of both. Edit: I'm basically saying that somewhere around the half-time mark, he needs to be doing Joker things. Or, a mix of his "regular" personality doing a lot of Joker things mixed in throughout after a breaking point. It can't just be a person's story, and at the end, he is just revealed to go full-Joker. It wouldn't be fulfilling.
  9. Sure about seeing it 3 days in a row? Yes. I have a self-obligation to see all of these movies twice, and I suspect that I'll definitely want to see it a third time at least. You could be right - and I might dread seeing it that Saturday. Only time will tell...
  10. Tickets go on sale (for most venues) Tuesday, April 2nd. I'll be pre-ordering for the 25th, 26th, and 27th evenings - at minimum. Wednesday night screenings are expected to begin @ 6:00 PM because of the long run time.
  11. Also: The Dark Knight Returns #1 First Print CGC 9.8 SS (Miller signature alone) has sold for over $1k multiple times, recently. I wouldn't consider selling mine, but if I did, I wouldn't be asking for less than that.
  12. Not trying to be mean, or snide or anything, but I ignored the meat of your post because: My OP was a joke referencing South Park and the Loch Ness Monster. I'll actually read this post after I hit "submit", but my guess is that it is all irrelevant...
  13. Dang. I was. Was what why I didn't like it? Is that why I liked The Avengers in 2012? "Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?"
  14. It's not a $3k book until someone buys it for that much.
  15. This isn't the thread to inquire about others' personal collections. The last sentence literally makes no sense to a robot. Robots are programmed in proper English. I can only take your word for a psychopath's understanding.
  16. No. As history will show you - he was one of the people with the most impact in the industry. He didn't accomplish this "by knowing someone in the business". He accomplished this by his own merit. With creative ideas, as an editor, and as a great person. He's a world-recognized idol, legend, and hero himself. You have failed to cite a single piece of evidence to support your wild claim. "Pick up the majority" blah blah blah is not evidence. It doesn't even suggest evidence. It's throwing crumpled up pieces of paper at a wall - there's no chance of sticking. "Numbers don't lie" literally means nothing to this discussion. Everything after that quote is entirely meaningless to anything and everything related to existence. The ad hominems detract from any point you could even attempt to make. You're adding to the baseless nature of your wild accusations.
  17. This isn't the place for that. Your last sentence makes no sense.
