  1. Okay, is now a good time to unload my 200 issues of Dazzler 1?
  2. You can't be serious. Ward is loyal to Garret due to something that happened in his youth. That's it. I'm having difficulty understanding how they would develop a character like that a whole season and then simply putting him out to pasture like that. For that reason and that reason alone....I'm thinking there's something we don't know and he's going to turn out ok. Not sure how the writer's are going to do it but once it's all out there, we will be amazed at how they did it. It is a comic book after all, right? Anything is possible.
  3. your wife is right. Ward is on a deep infiltration mission of Hydra for Fury, and he will do anything to complete his mission, including murdering innocent people. Garret is not even close to the head of hydra, just a Captain/Lieutenant. Fury has Ward in there as a triple agent, to get to the real leaders. Eventually he will come back to being a Shield agent, will likely be a long time though. (thumbs u
  4. So, if the Bronze Age is going to keep moving forward, how long before it's recognized as having ended with the first appearance of Rocket Racoon?
  5. Every comic I've ever sold....I experienced seller's remorse. So, I stopped selling. The last comic I did sell was a raw VF Green Lantern 76 to a fellow board member because he needed it, wanted it, couldn't find one and I had a second copy.
  6. I really don't understand the Hulk #271 thing... It's common as dirt, Rocket Raccoon isn't what I would call a major character and it's not even his first appearance. Edit: In fact, I literally just got one in the mail I'm thinking the character appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie could be just the beginning. A natural attraction for the younger viewers, I don't think it would be too long before this character could show up as a Saturday morning cartoon.
  7. Restoration developed a bad rap because people were selling restored comics without telling the buyer they were restored. Up until then, restored comics were more accepted. I'm thinking the pendulum is slowly swinging toward more acceptance primarily because CGC makes it easier to avoid undisclosed restoration. You buy a raw comic...you takes your chances. The only comment I can make re: value wise....a heavily restored comic in VF would be worth whatever current guide is in VG. Certainly there are other criteria in determining worth as there are different degrees in how much the comic is restored.
  8. I'll give you $100 for each issue. Ok, while he's thinking about it...you can have mine. Original owner run.
  9. I'll second that one JC...this guy deserves your business guys...(ummm and gals?)
  10. kudos to gman for another great cgc forum experience. ya' just can't go wrong dealing on the forum! (thumbs u
  11. I picked one up back in '75 when they came out and still have it. The records in good shape, but unfortuneatly I banged up the cover in one corner years ago. Over the years, I must have listened to it, wow...at least twice.
  12. You've been reading too many Marvel comics. Hi Joanna, missed you to. Nice to see you popping in. Hope you'll stay awhile.
  13. Anything Bronze Age in 9.4 or better....errr...make that 9.6 or better....he's a good source for the book...if he's got a better copy and it's a DC. A wizard in using "gremlins" to keep his post count up. Flame wars in the past with Bugaboo legendary. Rumored ..... a greggy fascination with Wonder Woman...has yet to be proved. If asked, he will deny, deny, deny.... Has little use for Marvels...ok, some use...but not very much. Also rumored...has garnered somewhat of a Borat influence as he calls many of the 9.8's he owns as "eas nice".
  14. Ok, Just for the record...I just got $60.00 refund to my paypal from "Sid". I did let him know there was another forum member who was out $200.00 and he didn't have any recollection of the deal. Yes, as stated by another forum member, he is currently involved in a family matter involving a new bride in Nepal (so, certainly congratulations are in order). When I emailed him he had mentioned to me he will be out of town for about a month looking after the matter, but will email me a refund before he leaves, and he came through. I had recommended to him to get back onto the forum when he gets back so he could look after the matter, but also am thinking whoever the forum member is that is out the $200.00...email him and let him know. I've got a feeling if he knows about the indescretion, he will look after it. But again, be patient....as he will be out of town for a month.
  15. (1) Never, ever assume. (2) It is entirely inappropriate to post the guy's name here for simply not answering a PM. This is for people who don't pay, or don't ship, who have basically reneged or stolen. He has done neither...not even close. (3) Apologise to the guy publicly and move on. I agree! With everyone! About everything! Next case. Hey, maybe you can get into an argument with greggy?
  16. Whether I like it or not? Hey...if any one of you guys who did get ripped off by this guy....he's got a web-site and his phone number is (970) 577 1118. If anyone does call, please let me know what happened. It's in Colorado somewhere. If there are any forum members in the area....maybe they could call him? I mean....just to let him know his name is being mentioned on the forum in a not too positive kind of way.....

  18. Hi...wondering if you've got any information on how I can get my money back?
  19. Hey, that would be great. If nothing happens from your end, I'll give him a call. I have his phone number from a web-site he has. Please let him know I don't plan on being very kind. Considering the $200 he owes another forum member, he's not looking too good right now.
  20. Let's add Sid to the list. I paid for a Transmetropolitan run over 6 weeks ago, my Paypal has run out as I really wasn't worried as I've never had a problem with a forum member. I've emailed him, I've PM'd him about wondering where the run is. He's got my $60 and the comics...still, as he's not getting back to me.
  21. I prefer to refer to them as krap Thanks for the "krap". Under-graded "krap" as usual...but what's with the exploding gell-pack? ...and Purple?
