  1. Sent in a single copy of New Mutants 98 for the signing. Ordered that special label for the signing and ground shipping. Total invoice price was 160 for the one book to get signed and graded. Big price tag for having a single book signed, but at the last convention I attended Liefeld was charging a premium price of 100 to sign New Mutants 98 and 87...so I was ok with the 80 signing price for the NM 98. Now that the window has passed, be interesting to see how many 98's get signed. CGC census has 3389 Signature Series currently.
  2. I agree that if you're giving this a "Qualified" Label because of the 3 hole punch over the barcode...that should not go against the grade. If it were "missing a coupon", as in some Qualified labels...does that lower the grade? I've seen some books "missing the value stamp"...meaning the stamp inside the book was cut out by a person, get 9.8. But in the end...this is green labeled for the stated reason, "cover mis-cut" and is obviously graded so low because of the hole punches. I wish they had gone the other way and the defect was the holes manufactured into the comic...and graded the comic without the thought of the manufactured holes defect.
  3. File name is on inside covers also. Numbered p1, p2, p3 and p4.
  4. I understand the allure of something unique and different when it comes to collecting, so miscuts fall into a basket of that realm. But...I've seen a lotta miscuts and it's just a continuation of the art, so where does this fall? Is this book a miscut as CGC states...or is this some sort of test copy? It bugs me that they used a three hole punch over the barcode. That makes me think this is some sort of test copy maybe...I mean someone had to use a hole punch on that back cover by hand don't ya think? Thoughts....
  5. I was fast and fortunate...I did purchase one of the Dr. Strange pages from the Tradd drop. Many thanx to Felix...I know there is a whole lotta work that goes into these drops. And many "high fives" to Tradd...who didn't have to let go of any of his work, but did. Forever grateful to you Tradd!!! Felix let us know months beforehand that there might be something from Tradd coming out. I'm just a low level union worker, so yeah...I saved for months knowing prices would be high, pages would me limited. I am humbled to have a few pages from Tradd. I know that work I put into it. I reached out to Felix beforehand...knowing I might need timed payments and he gladly let me know I could. Something important to know is that every time I've reach out to Felix around these drops, he's always gotten back to me. It's all work on his end to make these pages available and get them out to us and I appreciate anyone putting in that kinda time for, lets face it...for me, for you...for us all's. So many thanx again.
  6. Saw that my 15 book sub delivered 3/31 was entered into the system yesterday and went to SFG. Maybe the cons haven't slowed them down!
  7. Excited to see some movement on this 2/8 order! Had that 7 book order spend days at CCS...this 5 book is a few weeks in now, but it's moving! 15 book order delivered to CGC on 3/31 still not showing up...looks like the recent convention traffic of books has made its way to Florida.
  8. Your credit would be used once CGC bills you for your submission. So, if you are paying by credit card...you fill out your submission form. Send in your items. Once CGC receives your items they would be inputted into their system. Once the grading work starts, your credit card would be charged and the credit would be added at this point on the CGC end. Your card will charged for your order minus whatever credits you have at CGC. CGC will apply the credit to whichever of your orders they work on first. In essence, CGC holds onto the credit until you are charged for work...and they apply the credit to that work you give them.
  9. Feb 21 to Feb 23 CCS pressing is doing their thing with a quickness!!! Just have one order stuck somewhere in the mix...but seeing my last pressing sub done within a week, wow.
  10. I can tell you this...CGC does not encapsulate published original art, prelims included. They can witness and encapsulate sketches, remarques and art prints...but they will not do published art. They just send them back to you. You need to contact a facilitator. They go to the conventions and get signatures on anything you want. I've had facilitators get sigs and pick up commissions for me...it works.
  11. My recent order of 15 books. Delivered 2/16 went straight into SFG. Today, 2/20 seeing it in GEI. Seeing books move this fast...how strange is it knowing there was a time it would take months, sometimes a year to get books graded! Do the kids these days know our pain! Am I that old man telling kids to get off my lawn? And as an aside here...this was my first sub in a while and I was not familiar with the new drop down menus for inputting the books. These gals and guys at CGC found my mistakes in my submission and had it fixed at this GEI stage. Thanx CGC...I'll do better next time, promise.
  12. I know there use to be a hard set date of 2 weeks at one point you could hold onto a book, but that was extended years ago...I believe to 2 months maybe. I do know for a fact there was a hard deadline set by CGC...is there still though?
  13. How long can a facilitator hold onto a book, to add signatures from multiple cons, before they submit the book to CGC? I know there is a time limit...I am not finding it in a CGC search...but I know there is a time limit! If someone knows, would appreciate knowing myself.
  14. I did get one piece during the event...big thing was seeing a Tradd Moore "Silver Surfer Black" page sell (that I did at one point own) during the event. Donno if anyone else saw that seller is giving 5% of the sale back to Tradd.
  15. I noticed this movement yesterday. Imma tell you...I was not expecting movement on this so soon! This is a regular fast track submission...not part of any in house signing. Happy movement...really nice to see books moving through CGC at this pace.
  16. The 3rd order from my three order sub went straight into G/E/I this morning! Really happy with the turn around on these books you guys.
  17. Another order showing more movement. Woke up today and it's already at G/E/I.
  18. ...and my 3 book submission went from Quality Control to Shipped today!
  19. Just noticed this yesterday. Credit Card was charged Friday for all 3 subs at the same time. The smaller 3 book sub was at Quality Control once I saw the CC was charged. So looking forward to these "Thought Bubble" con subs finally making their way back...very excited!
  20. This was around the start of the pandemic, so getting art at shows seemed a long way off. Finding a piece that was already in the states versus having it mailed from Japan seemed like a great find. Especially BIG art, "wall power" as the kids say...which this was. Never meant to be I guess...but boy, did I really want that one piece! Which is why I waited as long as I did for it. Which is why it hurt so much...the tears guys, so many tears.
  21. I think you guys are giving that last statement about the bitcoin too much attention...it was just an anecdote I put there to emphasize the time that passed, and put some value to it. I coulda used a Gilligan's Island reference but I wanted to sound more hip and generation z than show my age. Just know that I waited way too long for art that, in the end...I never got to have.
  22. Way back on 6/8/2020 I purchased a Peach Momoko original art piece from the HCG website. They had a few, at the time...and the pandemic was upon us! As you might tell from the title of this thread, I never got it. I let a month go by before emailing them on 7/6 to ask if there was any progress with it...I only asked because other pieces from the site were being posted on CAF by their new owner's. I was told it was being pulled from deep storage...ominous. I emailed again on 9/27 and got an auto response back saying orders can take up to 30 days...ok. I emailed again on the 9/28 asking if they could look into it since it was over the 30 days...on 10/1 they say they are still working on it. I email again on 12/17 and get the auto response "up to 30 days". I email again on 12/18...it's over 30 days, can you look into this. Response on 1/4/21 "we are actively searching for it" Really...for 6 months? Then on 1/5/21 I am asked if I would want a refund...in the form of a gift card. I asked if they could continue looking for it. So...over 6 months go by, not once did they ever reach out to me with any info on this purchase. I mean, they would always answer my emails...but what good is the same answer of "we're looking for it" every time. So I waited, yet again. They, again, never reached out about my purchase for the next 3 months. Finally, on 3/21/21 I asked for a refund in the form of a check for the total amount...and that was the only thing they did for me. So today I went and did some fun math...what if instead of sending them a payment of $845 for a piece of art...I put that money and bought bitcoin on 6/8/20. What would it have been worth on 3/21/21? I mean, I obviously didn't have that cash for that entire time, so...what if? It would have been worth about $4203.31 on 3/21/21.
  23. This CCS pressing order was just marked shipped today! Email with tracking number received! I am nothing but smiles!!!
  24. Not sure. Once I received the invoice I logged in and saw it was in processing.
