  1. Everything in this post was 25% off. Unmarked books were $1 before discount. Nothing crazy. The Champions 3 may be very good but hard to tell because I only see one sale. This is the last of the Spawns he has below 290 that I’m interested in. He may have more in the collection he hasn’t found yet though. He has a nice 276 McFarlane variant but it’s $75 so I told them they can sell it to someone else.
  2. I picked these up. Anything without a price was $1 as were the Aladdin’s. The Hulk 449 wasn’t though. It’s a very nice copy except a barely visible printers crease on the top edge. I’ve been wanting a copy of this for almost 25 years.
  3. I saw that too and deducted accordingly. I ended up at 8.5 but thought 9.0 was possible or even 9.2 on the outside. Of course without the book in hand it’s hard when you only have a 2d view of the defect.
  4. Looks to me like 6.0 is a good guess. This copy presents very well.
  5. I think the way to do it is to use CLZ, which I haven’t tried yet, or other app and if there is a note field add a 3 or four letter code to a notes field that you write on your boxes. There must be one right? It would work well for short boxes but less well for long boxes. By the way, does anyone know if there’s a way to export from CLZ to a spreadsheet format? That would be nice.
  6. Looks cool. Get a few more copies then really hype it up. Haha
  7. That’s totally understandable. Keep looking and you might get lucky with some of them. Or if you wait long enough I bet they’ll come down again to something more reasonable.
  8. I also picked up a bunch of Archie Sonics for under cover. Some of which go for a surprising amount of money. These connecting covers are pretty cool.
  9. I forgot one more picture. he did have a Spawn 175 I didn’t pick up too just because I felt like I was spending too much money. I think the price was fair and it was probably a 9.8 candidate.
  10. Here are the others. The $100 books were had for much less, but I told him I wouldn’t say what I paid. Even though this is fairly anonymous I’ll honor that. I think a couple of them I picked up elsewhere at the same flea market.
  11. Here are some additional Spawns. The prices are fairly accurate to what I paid. Some would have been a little less.
  12. I found these at an lcs while out of town. I’ve been looking for them for quite a while.
  13. I picked up a mess load of Archie Sonics for pretty cheap including a bunch of variant covers. Also some other stuff I’ve been looking for for a while. It’ll be a few days before I can upload pictures.
  14. Oh there was another group I had already taken a picture of. I like the Capullo and Lee covers. I’ve also been picking up Invincible. Prices were pretty good on these but this second print was a good deal.
  15. The first day he brought the Spawns they were $5 each mostly. Every time after that they were priced at close to FMV. The first day I only left a couple because I already had them. I only had one of the below previously. After this I slowed down buying them because they were pricier. I’ll have to wait until I get back into town to post the other ones. But there were quite a few of the more desirable ones. I also picked up these on one occasion. The Pitts were also $2 each, 10-20.
  16. The only highlight prior to that was this in addition to the Spawns I picked up. Before that I wasn’t going through slow and checking values on variants. Here’s one more. There were more good deals too I’ll try to post.
  17. He puts about six new short boxes out every week. Unfortunately I’m going to miss the next couple of weeks due to being out of town. The prior week I picked up these in addition to some others. These were the highlights. The $20 Ghost Rider I probably should have left. No discount on these.
  18. I visited a local guy that buys collections and sells at cons and got in his list for when he has new stuff. He has a booth that he rents space at at an antique mall from someone else. He recently bought an awesome 60 some odd long box collection of mostly modern books. I’ll post some of the highlights I picked up at what I think were steals. This last week these were the best considering the price I paid. In addition to these he’s been saving the Spawns from the collection to look through since I’m a good buyer. These were 25% off the price shown. The below were not 25% off.
  19. Ha I forgot I already asked the first part. I’ll use standard but I still don’t know the best shipping. It seems priority would work for me. What is the max insurance they allow?
  20. This is the first time I’m submitting for grading. I have an excellent WD1. It should be no less than 9.6 but I can see no defect. I paid for the premium membership and I plan on submitting with a handful of other random comics. What tier do you recommend I send it with. I was thinking standard since I don’t know how it’ll grade. Also what shipping method do you recommend? USPS Priority with $2000 insurance or something else? thanks, cant wait to send and get this back.
  21. I have a book I want to submit on the std tier and then a few books I want to submit on the modern tier. Can I send them all in one box? Do they just send the return box separately, each tier in its own return box? thanks,
