It's a cool book....it jumped out at me in the Photo Journals years ago, back when I was looking at all the Pre Heros I'd never seen....been casually looking for a decent copy for years. It's got 1 Ditko, 2 Kirbys, 1 Buscema, and 1 Sinnot. The Strange Worlds were Stan's first new title in the "Marvel Age". They're all tough as nails in 8.0 or better....and comparitively speaking, not quite as expensive as the "Big 4" of the Pre Hero world. The Strange Worlds are a little different than the rest....a little more Sci-Fi adventure. The concepts for the FF were obviously swirling around in Stan and Jack's minds back then. The site easy to navigate and he has some interesting books but warning bells go off as all the scans are cropped on at least 2, often 3 sides. Is this just poor scanning? Thanks, Tom. It's probably going to be the keeper....the gloss on this book is AMAZING and the spine is still puffy. It definitely hasn't been pressed...although that wouldn't really bother me. So many of these monster books have castles, rubble, or rocky terrain that the scan ends up looking like the book has spine stresses that are actually part of the art. It's OK ,buddy. The one I just got from Metro (yesterday ) is real decent. It'll do for now. I'll post a scan this weekend. I WAS going to bid on the 8.5 ,but when I saw it sitting at $ 500 with 4 days to go I knew it would probably top a grand so I stayed out of it. There's somebody ELSE out there who bid it up. It's tough in high grade....wouldn't have surprsed me to see it hit 1300. It's one of my favorites and one of the very few with an 18 page Kirby story. I seem to recall Zzutac being another 18 pager.
