  1. Very nice, white pages as well. I see you added it to registry as well as a 79. If you are interested in making a sweet deal for yourself, PM me an offer for the 79; you might want to let it go for high price....
  2. The colors are great on that cover, those issues in the 50's and 60's are the best. Good luck on those X-Men from CGC.
  3. Thanks, I was really happy with the X-Men 13. I just won an auction for a X-Men 14 ( it looked like it was going to be me or Bob Storms for a decent price but some other bidders entered the fray and drove up the cost.) Regardless, another nice book -
  4. My X-Men 13 arrived last week and the other two should be here tomorrow. X-Men 13 Pacific Coast X-Men 59 From the collection of Joe and Nadia Mannarino X-Men 46 From the collection of Joe and Nadia Mannarino
  5. X-men 71 in 9.4 with white pages. I got it for a lot less then I thought it would sell for, especially since it and about 10 other reprint X-Men reprint issues are nearly impossible to find.
  6. Ah big deal, I have the complete Marvel New Universe comics...........
  7. 28 is next on the hit list. Unfortunately, I have to get a new car so that is going to have to wait.
  8. Just got this off of Heritage - I have never seen another X-Men 22 or above for sale besides this one.
  9. Thanks, the issue was on eBay but I was in negotiation to buy it and my offer was higher then what he would have gotten on eBay. I have been looking for this for a long time. Metropolis has had a cream to off white version of it on their web site for about a year or so. I submitted two offers for it but they want only top dollar for the issue even though it has cream pages. That is why it will be there for years to come. I do not know why they bother to have "submit an offer" option because it seems they never accept an offer. I have put offers in that were 10% less and they still rejected it ( the offers were still in the 3 times guide range.) I have since bought nicer issues for less money from other dealers. Do not get me wrong, I think Vincent is one of the best in the business and a really stand up guy, but I do not understand the logic of some of their pricing sometimes. I understand the big dealer, overhead, initial investment...blah,blah, blah, but you cannot always get 4 to 5 times guide for an issue that the market does not justify that cost.
  10. This is one of the nicest copies I have ever seen. I saw a 9.6 copy once but the centering was not as good. This copy was not cheap, but I think it was worth it. The appearance of Spider-Man makes this a consistent big ticket book.
  11. I picked up this nice X-Men 35 with white pages. I think it is just as nice as the Curator copy that was on eBay two weeks ago.
  12. Kudos to thanos_oftitan for the German reprint issues at a great price.
  13. Kudos to wasoff ( Drew Folie) for selling me a X-Men 90 CGC 9.4. Good communications, price, and packaging. 20 or so to go and then the X-Men are complete in 9.4 and above.
  14. I read once it was a nod of recognition to Louis Silberkleit from John Goldwater ; they, with Maurice Coyne, were the founders and partners in MLJ Magazines ( ala Pep comics etc.) I am not sure whether there is any validity to that though. Tom
  15. I have bought from him in the past, hands down he is the worst grader I have ever run across that claims to be a professional. He happens to live not too far from me in New York and I have never seen him accurately grade any comic that he has had in any of his auctions at any time. Good rules of thumb for him is never bid on any of his auctions or bid accordingly for 5 grades less them he lists the items. I am not a dealer but I am capable of grading professionally and accurately - this guy thinks he finds 9.8's all over the place. Any true professional knows that 9.8's are extremely rare, even on new issues. People like him hurt eBay and hurt the business - run away from him. Tomega
