  1. It appears the head of the Senate Intelligence Committee sold a million and a half dollars worth of stocks after a meeting on the coming of the virus. After giving a public speech where he downplayed the virus, he warned his pals at a private club that bad times were coming. If that isn't insider trading, what is?
  2. I just bought a 26 ounce zero water bottle/filter for under $10 on Amazon.
  3. I don't believe I have ever read a mainstream romance comic. As a teenager I had an Underground called Inner City Romance that I found pretty stimulating.
  4. That's why you have minions. Just designate one as your bag man.
  5. You are learning. One set of rules for Thee and Thine, another for Me and Mine.
  6. GPA is a moot point. The next few months will see thousands of collections being offered and prices should dramatically decline on most books. Cash is king right now. Never miss an opportunity to take advantage of a crisis.
  7. That's a good start, but the reality is that Marvel and DC are small revenue streams for their parent companies. Disney has a million sticks in the fire and bigger fish to fry. They inherited Diamond when they purchased Marvel and might be okay with finding a new distribution system. It looks easy on paper. Diamond is and has been a company that is underfunded and struggling. Twenty five year of Diamond dominating the industry is more than enough. When I was a teenager, there were many more record stores than comic shops. Economics and technology changed and now there are very few record shops yet the music industry has survived. Perhaps it's time to put the direct market to bed and find a new system. One that doesn't segregate comics into self made ghettos.
  8. So we should give Ditko partial creator's credit for Stans makeover?
  9. Didn't Kirby draw himself as Dr Doom impersonating Reed?
  10. The Stan Lee of 1961/62 looked very different from the post-1965 Stan. I'm not sure when he decided to buy his hair and adopt facial hair.
  11. There is a Golden Age Wonder Man whose outfit is almost as garish as Simon Williams original one.
  12. Are you factoring in forty five years of dividends? Especially reinvested dividends?
  13. Is the guy a regular eBay seller or is he new to selling? He is in the wrong, but it might not be malicious.
  14. If you get hurt, hurt them back. If you get killed, walk it off.
  15. I wouldn't change any May dates yet. There is still a few weeks to evaluate the situation.
  16. Don't do it out of fear. Do it out of love. Stay home and reduce the chances you might end up infecting someone you love. CNN is saying the virus can stay on cardboard for more than a day and plastic for up to three. Seems like you might run into a bit of that at a comic show.
  17. Its amazing that a no talent hack like Stan was able to ramrod Marvel all those years, yet the more talented people who followed couldn't hold his jockstrap.
  18. They are different products, not variations. An example of a variation would be the infamous Billy Ripken card that had the original version pulled mid run.
  19. Does anyone know a comic this book was advertised in?
  20. No one would call a 1988 Donruss card a variant of a 1988 Topps card. Topps used to put out a Tiffany Set, which was the same cards as their regular set but glossier, and Fleer put out Glossy sets but they were separate products, not variants as comics refer to them. Topps and its competition put out Canadian cards, under different brands. The fronts are the same, with the backs being different.
