  1. Something else you can try, if you don't want to pay for a GPA subscription, is go to eBay and do a search for sold slabs just like it. It's under 'Advanced'. Make sure you select 'Sold Listings' in your search criteria. This is a broad search to see what others have sold their slab for, but it doesn't necessarily tell you the value. It's just for information gathering.
  2. Nice!!! Cleaning/pressing in the right hands, 9.0. I'll even reach to a 9.2...without dislocating my shoulder. IMO or course. G/L!!!
  3. I agree with pressing. Are the staples clean? Pics are a bit dark.
  4. cleaning/pressing might help a bit. 8.5...IMO. Nice one!!!
  5. Unless my eyes are getting worse, I see a 9.2/9.4...IMO.
  6. A couple pictures are a bit blurry, but it looks like a 9.4/9.6...IMO. I may have missed something.
  7. I agree. After looking at it real close, along with the other Year One books, it's not worth the effort. I read these books way back then and didn't know much about keeping them pristine. Lol.
  8. Hey, gang!!! This book isn't exactly a hot commodity, but I stumbled on it while going through all my Batman books. Curious to see if it's worth grading, since I don't have the complete storyline. Thanks for looking!!!
  9. Copy that!!! Filed away for future reference. Thanks again!!!
  10. Thanks for that. I thought it had something to do with production...just couldn't remember for sure. Hopefully I can remember from here on out.
  11. If it were mine, I wouldn't do anything else with it. The very thought of the book being handled all over again...including pressing, would stress me out. My fear might be unfounded, but I'd rather go conservative. Nice book though!!!
  12. I'm curious about that myself. I know enough about pressing that it heat can affect certain conditions, i.e. ink. Wonder how CCS does that....
  13. No worries. Lots of comic vendors back then would mark comics for inventory, etc. It's hard to tell if the blue marks are production or not...since I can only see the one. Are the marks all uniform across the pages? It's hard to know for sure whether CGC will take things like that into account. Plus, I'm not expert. Lol. I've only been doing this about 3 years...mostly as a hobby. I enjoy the education though. Thanks for posting it!!!
  14. Ouch. 1.0/1.5...IMO. That's a tough one for me. Lol
  15. Hey, all. Kinda hoping I could get a bit more input on this book. I will have a batch of bronze age heading to CGC by the end of summer, and this will be one of them. Thanks for looking!!!
  16. mild spine roll could probably be pressed out. Otherwise, 6.0..IMO.
  17. Looks original to me because it doesn't give a printing/copyright year, which was 1963. I did a little research earlier this morning and #370 was the last issue in the series and it was a reprint of issue #49. I can't find any value on it, but you could always check UK eBay website. Still a nice book nonetheless. You don't see too many of these stateside.
  18. Good point!!! I forgot to look at the staples.
