Though I don’t think it’s a trend and only due to s much free money. beside the checks I personally know people getting unemployment from state and the unemployment from federal and making more money than when they worked. this well end soon. Oh gpa is a service that cgc offers that gives you the latest up sales of any given grade averaged to make an accurate estimate of fair market value.

And wait...you are a vendor and do not know your gpa prices?? You think that because during quarantine and free money that those books are actually climbing? interesting to say the least

1 or 2 over gpa sales does not indicate a trend. It was probably stimulus check money as nobody would buy a 4.0 GSX 1 for over 1000.00 at this time with hard earned money lol. again...GPA is dropping and that is a mathematical fact not an assumption sir.

Well yes I do believe that high grades have been dropping but lower grades are selling for a premium. The average collector can only afford a lower grade and people are willing to pay 800.00 for a low grade just to have a copy. Its weird but certain books do that. Same goes for ASM 129 punisher. Low grades selling for 500-600 for like 3.0 it’s crazy anyway unfortunately my budget for any one book is 1000.00 or a bit more i have found a really nice raw book but missing Stamp. It’s really the best copy I can afford. i see simply copies being sold for 12-1300 so I thinks it’s a good deal. This book is destined to go back up. Everything x men has slowed down a bit. GSX 1 dropping too

Yes there is a bottom staple Both staples are tight and clean and cover is tightly attached I be accepted the book back as it was accept of let them keep. buyer was automatically refunded and my funds on hold then taken from me. there is no way to officially appeal. i am currently messaging but not getting anyone that will help

I collect and I sell books. Im usually a good estimate of grade in normal type of wear but no clue how much a split like this effects a grade. How this happened I can only assume... I sold this book as a raw 7.0-8.0 estimate with no damage. Buyer said was not as described and requested return so I was forced to accept it back. He said he received the book like this but I’m certain he had buyers remorse and damaged it in order to have proof with photos for grounds to refund. now I have this back and wondering what it’s fate may be or what grade it can be estimated at. Im currently shopping for a new one along with GSX 1

Yes I display my books and always try to get the most presentable. Im actually looking at a GSX 4.5 for 1000.00 that is very clean and a nice ASM 129 raw that looks like a 7.5 but there’s a split/tear on the spine about 2 -3 inches at top for 500.00 so may buy both. also looking at a raw 181 that looks like a 5.5 but missing stamp for 1000.00

I’m resurrecting this topic as I am considering buying a midgrade copy and have been shopping around. Thing is nobody is willing to let there copies go for gpa. I mean I’ve seen a fe completed sales that got a fair deal but most all available copies are over and I can see why. I was debating over ASM 129, GSX 1, or IH 181 I have found by a fluke...a raw missing the value stand that looks to be a solid 5.0 for 1000.00 even does this sound like a smart buy?

Ok I have upgraded to ‘associate’ So I do not have to ask for inside info from others. I do appreciate the tips.

Im leaning toward 129 but not able to find anyone willing to sell for GPA everyone want literally 2-300 above and that’s nuts. the GSX 1 I have someone that wants 50.00 over gpa for 4.5 and I see some bids landing at about gpa also. exactly as you said I’m looking for the best deal but that’s hard when people are asking so much and there books jut sitting unsold or sold to suckers

.5-2.0 129 is higher than GSX your missing it and your excluded those grades 2.0 129-375.00 Giant 1 325.00 the price stayed same for 129 and gets lower as you go on GSX please take another look.

...but this is not entire true as you see in the gpa that ASM 129 goes for more than GSX 1 in lower grades.

This was something I haven’t thought of but it’s a really good point. This is why I’m trying to get either one for gpa and not a penny more. Im having trouble finding anything not grossly over gpa lately. Im a midgrade key guy as even say a 1000-1600 dollar purchase is very big for me. not breaking the bank..just a lot for a personal nonessential

I e been watching and gpa has cooled but not as much on low grades I guess because there more affordable and people are buying them up.
