  1. True...and to be completely honest there was more than ample evidence, and warnings, of Comicsupply's cycle of not meeting buyers orders before the current problems arose. And there were still people chiming in giving him the thumbs up endorsements 14 months ago. I probably have the only mylars withing a 150 mile radius (you'll probably think I'm exaggerating) My LCS is a joke. So as Nik might assume one would want to deal with the devil, for me that wasn't the case. And keep in mind I wasn't too familiar with Hotflips 14 months ago. Since then I have ordered from them (HF's) and was very pleased. And one bag of Mylar wasn't an unreasonable gamble. Surely that would be OK. Right? As far as Jim having difficulty displaying sympathy, NONE WAS ASKED by me. I wouldn't bother anyone with my "one little bag of mylar" problem as it's no big deal compared to other deals gone wrong. I only spoke up when someone thought that all had been set right with every past due transaction. There's a lot of "opinions" on display lately.
  2. BTW, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. Unbelievable. I have yet to receive any package of mylars I ordered a full year ago. I have yet to receive any refund, or apology/acknowledgment/excuse....etc... Just because you see an occasional board member receive a package from CS doesn't mean he's anywhere near catching up on old business responsibilities. These are more than likely anomalies. I can't believe I just read your post.
  3. I actually prefer cheapie later WDCS. Nice avatar Leave some WDCS for me.
  4. I must have the original censored variant. Pretty straight forward to me.
  5. Kidnapping Brides should be a felony. Come on now, the guys just doing the groom a favor! However a TV show of Brides that go around kidnapping people might be a hoot.
  6. Wow. Never seen that one. Keep posting. (thumbs u
  7. They are both fantastic, but that #3 is Both are fantastic books! Amazing
  8. Great scans. Nice to see the re-working of the Secret Service scenes.
  9. # 141 was the coolest issue. For some reason probably due to the area I grew up in the X-Men were not read or even glanced at by the guys in my neighborhood around 1980-81. We were just kids and we read Hulk, Spiderman, and Ironman. Getting some coins from your parents to buy books was something that couldn't be wasted on just anything. We were pure Marvel fans though. Rom was big and in full swing. Then one day out of boredom at the Supermarket (the spinner rack was getting bare and running out of everything else) I picked up X-Men # 141. It was a good read. I showed it to the guys and they liked it as well. With everyone "labeled" in the future and most everybody accounted for, seeing Wolverine appearing on the scene to beat up some hooligans was very cool to the guys I went to school with. Then came the cover to X-Men 142 and getting to see him fried was pretty cool to a bunch of eleven year old's. This made us fans. We began to back track and see who could find the older issues. We weren't too wild about the artist that replaced Byrne but we kept on buying. This was the era in which Wolverine was big to us.
  10. Yuch. When I buy a book and don't get a few 'nice pick up' comments I figure I got robbed.
  11. There's a little too much "personal space" going on for me to handle.
