  1. Loved the trailer! Infinitely better than the Captain America trailer. I'm so excited for this X-Movie.

    Not

    Double not.

    triple

    quad. :headbang:

The cast of X-Men is phenomenal. All of the primary cast are fantastic actors and have displayed fantastic performances as their respective characters (except perhaps Halle Berry). Both Xaviers; great. Both Magnetos; great. Wolverine; great. Iceman, Kitty, both very good. I just hope Colossus gets some time to shine in this movie. He's one of the most popular X-Men and his role in the previous movies has been cameo in length.

Chris Evans as Captain America is just so overwhelmingly bad. He was horrible in the first Cap movie, he was horrible in the Avengers movie...which does not lead me to believe that it will be any less horrible in the next Cap movie. If I can't accept the film's lead, it makes it tough to enjoy the trailer.

I just watched both trailers again. X-Men still rules the day for me.

  2. Why would Wolverine now have gray hair, when he apparently was born in colonial times(from the beginning of X-Men Origins: Wolverine), lived through the Civil War, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, up to present without aging at all. It would seem that to age as he has in that picture, he would need to live another couple of hundred years, not just another 20 years in the future.

He's using that "Just a Touch of Grey" Just for Men coloring.

  4. Fassbender was amazing as magneto. A lot of depth to his acting and character.
    Indeed

He added some charm & charisma to Magneto hm

I actually can't blame him for fighting against the humans.

I thought Fassbender captured Magneto's anger and traumatic experiences much better than McKellen.  To me that's important, because Magneto's almost force-of-nature rage really drew me into the very earliest Lee / Kirby X-Men stories.

    Agreed :)

Magneto is one of my favorite Marvel villains

Unlike most villains,he has a good reason to hate humans.

Blech...tacked on hoo hah. I can fogive a lot of Claremont's sins because he did so much good stuff...but ruining Magneto...

    :fear:

When I read the Lee / Kirby stories as a kid I was always puzzled about why Magneto was so relentlessly angry and hostile.  The backstory gave him an understandable reason for believing that a strong attack is the best defence, and that all non-mutants are completely irredeemable.  Not saying I agree with his conclusion, though.

All the krap that Claremont tacked on via retcons was his attempt to give the X-MEN their version of Doctor Doom...an honorable villain.

Except that Magneto is far more interesting than Dr. Doom.

  5. In the absence of any proactive disclosure, I think it prudent to assume that all of KingOfRulers' books being offered for sale on the boards have been pressed.

Perfectly reasonable. It's clear he presses comics, tons of them. And it's clear he won't be disclosing proactively unless forced to do so.

How did you arrive at that claim? I did not say that I would not pro-actively disclose pressing. In fact, in the thread in the general in response to Mac Man, I said that I would.

Nonetheless, you are correct in your assumption that the pool of pressed books is in increasing in size.

Sorry man, it's hard to keep up with all the threads. But you have said, quite a few times, stuff like this:

I have never had a problem with disclosure. If asked by a buyer, I disclose. I believe in the pro-active disclosure of "restoration" (color touch, tear seals, etc.), but I do not believe that pressing is restoration.

We have just had long differing opinions regarding "pro-active" disclosure as it relates to pressing.

    Things may change however.

I still hold those beliefs. I don't think pressing is restoration.

However, because of outspoken public opinion to the contrary, I am compelled to engage in the pro-active disclosure of pressing regardless of my beliefs.
