This one….now this is a different story.  I am a bit disappointed here.  I bought this about 20 years ago, so whatever I get for it down the road I am sure I would be happy.  However, this is coming back as restored.  The grade is higher than I thought:

7.5 OW/W….but….the 4th wrap is married.  

Guess that is better to know now than down the road.  I take it the value will be completely hammered here.  Such a nice looking copy though!!

This one, I am also happy with.  Got the results back and I wasn’t sure what the water mark would do.  It came out as:

5.5 OW/W pages

multiple crease right bottom of front cover
spine stress lines cover breaks color
stain top of whole book

Sent this, plus the 2 and 4 in for grading.  Already got the results as they were sent by walkthrough.  
So….the grade given to the X-Men 1 is….

3.5 and OW pages.  Pretty happy with that as I originally was hoping for at least a 3.0..

Without this defect I'd say this copy would be around a 7.5. With it I'll go 5.0/5.5 as I suspect the defect runs through the entire interior of the book.

I won't speculate on the front cover crease. Could be production-related but acceptable in this grade range regardless.

Last of my 3 for today.  What are your thoughts here?  How much do these squarebounds get hammered for those crease lines (see beside Nightcrawler).  

…and here is my X-Men 1.  Lots of chipping along the edge, top staple barely hanging on, and a tear beside Snowmans …err Icemans head.  Thoughts?  Is this at least a 3.0?

What is that along the top of the back cover and appears along the pages…is that water stain…how will the grade be hammered here?  Also, there is a light scratch/crease (printers?) running from the wheelchair to the word “nothing” on the corner.  Slight tear on the right hand side, beside the "stay back"
