  1. I love you man. You made...the list.
  2. I think Janet smells. I don't know for sure, because I didn't get close enough to find out. But I suspect so.
  3. Wikipedia aside (which is meaningless), I acknowledge all of that, and that is not in dispute. Yes, it was the first work at DC for which Adam was paid, but it was unpublished inventory work. If it's not published for a year after it's done, then it's not really his "1st DC work." Think about it: the label says "1st DC work by Adam Hughes." But the book is dated 9/90. I have JLA #31, which is dated 10/89. Chronologically, there are nearly a dozen Hughes issues that were published before MM #19. Do you see where the confusion could originate...? It's a bad label note, especially in the era where people worship label notes. Historically...traditionally...it is publication which has been the delineating line between "what is first." If Herb had done an inventory cover for Hulk that featured Wolverine, and that was the first time Herb had drawn Wolverine for which he was paid, and they published that cover as, say, Hulk #190....would that mean Hulk #190 would be Wolvie's first appearance? No.
  4. This is Hughes' first DC work: Hughes had an entire run of JLI before that Mister Miracle was published. MM #19 may be the first work he was paid to do, but since when has unpublished inventory work ever counted? Historically, traditionally, it is published work that counts. "1st DC work by Hughes"...published almost a year AFTER his first PUBLISHED work...is confusing and contradictory. Publication has been the standard for determining what comes when. Otherwise, we can start calling sketchbooks and doodles "first so and so work."
  5. Ok, that's pretty damn cool. What is it about female vampires that fascinates me so much...?
  6. I wonder what the social ramifications of having 20+ years of dumb comments of yours accessible at the touch of Blowie's fingers will be...?
  7. So long as the judge isn't Luna Lovegood, I think everything will work itself out.
  8. I suspect Union was the lowest printed of them all. It's always been "the hard one" to find. I run across Kindred and especially Wetworks, all the time, but that may be due to my proximity to Image in SoCal. I would imagine Deathblow and Kindred were hard to find because of all the people who bought their copies for $15-$20 didn't want to eat a loss.
  9. I'm kidding, I'm kidding, relax noobs. Maybe you need some Soothing Noob Relief™...
  10. I think we should make threads with join date requirements. Like, nobody after 2008 can post in that thread. That would be awesome. And, lest anyone thinks it's discriminatory, the noobs can make their own "nobody can post if their join date is before 2017." I mean, sure, those will be ghost towns, but still...
  11. How many points do you get if you were the originator and/or subject of said phrase...?
  12. I have a long box... I was so annoyed when Kindred and Deathblow came out and were immediately $15. So I'll buy them out of $1 boxes all day long. Someone has a long box filled? I'll take 'em.
  13. Just for kicks, OPG '81 says: Good $15 Fine $30 Mint $60 There was a tremendous ramp up on X-Men from 1978-1981. 1980 OPG: G $3 F $6 M $9 The book nearly septupled in 1980, mainly on the strength of the #1 comics story of the year, the Death of Phoenix.
  14. Wahh wahhhhh.... I defy anyone to get that song out of their heads... And then watch this: So fun.
  15. I love Ellie Kemper. I doubt she's very far off from the characters she plays. She's someone I could stay married to for life. Plus, the theme song is a hoot.
  16. But...there's a guide to all the cool, neverending threads in Comics General! That counts...right...? ...right??
  17. Not quite true, except in body. Regardless, the whole story is about his return. Thanos didn't suddenly appear out of nowhere at the end of an unrelated story. No argument there, but that's not what I said, smarty pants. Spidey Super Stories is watered-down, non-canonical junk, not Marvel Universe. Ball buster. Fine, then his last canonical appearance...Marvel Two In One Annual #2...is even earlier. Other than a few of those SS 34-50 issues being filler, Pedantist! Yes, #39 is totally unrelated, but #40-#43, the story about Dynamo City, is still part of the larger narrative. So there.
  18. You mean like you just did with me? So, can you please point out the specific policy from the USPS where it says double boxing using their free supplies and using the shipping service they're intended for is against their rules? Thank you Can you please point out the specific policy from eBay where it says that using your Top Rated Seller account and discount to ship items that aren't a specific eBay transaction is against their rules? Thank you.
  19. Reader's Digest version: "Logan510" is accusing me of doing something "potentially illegal" by using the eBay top rated seller shipping discount that I had earned and was entitled to use, which anyone in the world could negotiate with the USPS...and he shipped his personal comics on his employer's FedEx account. Did he reimburse Leica Microsystems for using THEIR account? Was he entitled to ship PERSONAL packages with his EMPLOYER'S account...? Did he even PAY for the shipment...? I don't know. Maybe "Logan510" can clear it up: is he the owner of Leica Microsystems, and therefore entitled to use their FedEx account to ship his personal items...?
