  1. The NOW Ralph Snart HARDCOVER is rare. The trade paperback reprinting the early stuff is pretty rare, too, but the hardcover was limited originally to only 300 copies. There was some kind of rift that developed between the publisher of NOW and Marc Hansen and so publisher Tony Caputo ended up with a few copies of the HC and I don't think they ever made it into the public's hands. I'm not sure if Tony still has any of those copies, but he sent me mine several years ago when I did some research on NOW. Last I talked to him, he was trying to put the nightmare of what happened to that once-great publishing giant behind him. There we go...now we're on the right track....
  2. Guys. Can we please not post hugely gigantic pics in a thread? It forces the thread to scroll, and makes it incredibly difficult to read posts. Love ya. You know I do.
  3. I sat next to greggy Pfffft. Greggy isn't half as dreamy as you. He does sleep more, though.
  4. Dear Mr. GAtor... How did you get so dreamy?
  5. You can go through the dollar boxes before me at a con any time, if you are going to leave books like that. Amen.
  6. I like this thread. It has grown beyond your myopic self-interest. Myopia. Still...it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to the actual hardest to find 90's books...rather than just "books most stores don't carry, but which can be found on eBay every day of the week, and which some of us have many multiples." (thumbs u people have run out of material, for now, after 30 pages of this thread. is that surprising? 13 pages for me...but if you look, it's been the same since the very start of the thread.... And there are dastardly rare books that have never yet been mentioned...

  8. Can I leave glowingly positive feedback for myself, in my feedback thread..? Because, frankly, I'm one sexy biznatch.
  9. Toldja I was afraid.... 745 views. Yeesh. Thanks to those who left + FB.
  10. I've known Sha off and on for like 9 years now. I recently bought a SSWS #96 from her. It was a cheapie, no biggie. But, the cover had been completely torn in half and taped back together, and she'd missed this. When I brought it to her attention, she refunded me what I paid and told me to keep it for free. She's a classy dame.
  11. You have found eight copies. I must need to bone up on what the word "impossible" means. You're not going to bone up here are you? Sung to the tune of Candyman Who can take a comment Make it gross and weird Use a double entendre on a comment that's quite clear The Kandahar Man can, The Kandahar man can Learn how to syllableize, newb.
  12. I hope...though I doubt....that CGC keeps census "snapshots" throughout time. It always fascinates me to see how many existed in what grade *at a specific moment in time*, and I fear that information may be lost forever, except for tiny spots here and there for specific books, like yours.
  13. They were sold out at the distributor level. Hence the quotes.
  14. That's all that counts. I love Grendel. I wish I was even more aggressive than I was... The very first theft I ever encountered on eBay was a tool offering "NM" copies of Primer #2, Grendel #1-3 for $180, all signed by Wagner. This was early 1999, and would have been my first copies of all these books. Sent a MO, never got the books or the comics.
  15. This thread would've been 4 times longer if you had been here. Nah... It would have been deleted...
