  1. If you're going to sell counterfeits...which is questionable to begin with...why not take a set and run off a couple hundred copies...?
  2. You make me smile so often. Thank you.
  3. I love when posts sneak up out of nowhere to make me
  4. Very nice! Now I gotta sub some more.
  5. You have WILDLY misinterpreted what I've said. I said it for YOUR sake, not mine. I would LOVE to have you post more...you make me look like John F. Kennedy by comparison. As Jeffro said, shine on, you crazy diamond!
  6. You're screwed now. No matter what you do, you'll forever be branded as that douchey guy. You could, from hereon out, be the Mother Theresa of the boards, and you'll never escape that stigma. Ever. You could be clever, generous, witty, knowledgable, whatever. Doesn't matter now, because you've been a douchey on your first outing. If I were you, I'd just vanish. It's probably for the best. (thumbs u Am I wrong....?

  8. Ever the voice of reason. Curiously, was CGC around as a quarter of the hobby took an indefinite sabbatical when they discovered their precious Valiants and die-cut covers had more value as mulch than as a collectible? I love it when an old timer with a keyboard goes pontificating on the interwebs. 1/4? More like 3/4. Wait, no, 9/10. It was a bloodbath, regardless.
  9. No I'm here to happily click graemlins, learning and discussions are for , also I enjoy a foot up my every now and then, even if it is from my brother I have a couple of friends who might like you.....#?
  10. Please, by all means, feel free. It's a nice technique for keeping points clear.
  11. I like the cut of your jib. If there's more where this came from, please, stick around.
  12. Ahhhh...the sweet mystery revealed...
  13. They don't exist. They were just so horrifically printed, I doubt there will ever be a 9.8, and if there is, it's easily a $2,000 book. (and for the metaphorically challenged, I don't mean they don't REALLY exist. I mean they are incredibly rare.)

  15. Nah. Simple attrition. Nobody cared that much to save them when they came out, and they all ended up in quarter bins over the years. Same with #3-5.
  16. You should really stop posting so much....
  17. I read Frankenstein last year, and it was not quite as good as I hoped it would be. I was intrigued by the book's mention of The Last Man, so maybe I'll pick it up. I just finished reading Rand's The Fountainhead a couple weeks ago, and am now reading Godless, by Ann Coulter. Can't tell you when the last time I read a comic was.
  18. I can see this making someone's signature line. More like a custom title. I've been disbarred. Better to have had a custom title and lost it than to have never had one at all.
  19. I can see this making someone's signature line. It actually doesn't. It has 14. When the various reprints are taken into account, the total nears 20.

  21. Response here - plenty more where these came from. I haven't though of rec.arts.comics for 15 years. Wow. I argued with someone once that Gen13 #1 didn't have 13 variants...this was before they had come out. Oops.
  22. Dear Gator, Did Carl Barks own a 1916 quarter all his life? Sincerely, Numismaduck.
