  1. Well, wading through this illiterate, nonsensical, paragraph-deficient, all-caps stuck whiny crybaby rant was an effort, but this particular "segment" has quite the ring of lie to it. I don't know anyone who says "oh, go ahead, just send them to CGC, and no matter what the grades or the prices are, I'll buy them." Totally ignoring buttheadcollectibles' comment about LETTING HIM KNOW GRADE/PAGE QUALITY, which IMPLIES that the customer would then have the option to CHOOSE which items he then wanted to purchase. Sorry, Butt Head Collectibles....you're out of gas, and you have succeeded only in digging your own grave a little deeper.
  2. This poor fool has no clue what he's just done, does he.....? A shame.
  3. I'm gonna order a mid-grade slabbed run of Rom #40-60 from the guy....
  4. Thanks, Lauren...I've just spent the last half hour listening to half of Look Sharp... I haven't heard these songs in YEARS. I wore out that tape YEARS ago... Thank you for taking me down memory lane. Just finished "Dangerous"
  5. Nuff Said not Neat Stuff Oops. Sorry about that. Brain fart...I just woke up from a nap. Will fix my post. What about the rest of them? ( )
  6. So you're younger than I am. Well, you're in your 50's, right....? So yes. (duck)
  7. Sad, but true. His profile is a mess. Clearly, the guy has issues. I was half expecting to find myself in that list, as I usually do, but oddly enough, I wasn't there this time. Oh, and I'm listening to "Listen to your heart" right now... Roxette was Huh-UGE when I was in high school.
  8. Good question, but dare I say my dad has a rather unique email address? I'm not sure of many American's with the name 'Roxette' in their email. But even if it was a case of mistaking identity, wouldn't the seller notice eventually? Does he have the look? He should listen to his heart....
  9. Want list or not, you do NOT spend money "on" a customer without a clear agreement IN WRITING as to the details FIRST.
  10. You should not feel bad about this at all. You and your dad have done nothing wrong, according to this exchange. It's yet another example of a dealer with no clue how to treat customers. This guy should thank his lucky stars that he deals in an industry where customers allow dealers to treat them so poorly, and think they can behave like jackarses with no consequence. Here's what this jagoff forgot: 1. You are the CUSTOMER. You have PAID HIS BILLS. The very least he OWES you is common courtesy and decency, NOT hostility and anger. It continues to boggle my mind how many dealers think their CUSTOMERS OWE THEM something. MIND EFFING BOGGLING. 2. He should have gotten a CLEAR agreement, IN WRITING, preferably with a DEPOSIT, before sending anything in to be graded. that's his fault, and if he made the assumption, that's just too damn bad. 3. There is no excuse...none...for swearing at a customer. None. Ever. NEVER. Sadly, this will never change until ALL customers STOP giving their money to dealers who behave like this. It CAN be done, but only if EVERYONE will do it. And, unfortunately, "gotta have 'em all" trumps that the vast majority of the time. I am angry with you, Lauren.
  11. They weren't in the large stack of ashcans that Jay Company got from the Image offices in about 2002 (when I bought mine.) Jay Company would frequently go to the Image Offices in Orange, CA, and clear them out of all their "old variant stuff", including the ashcans. These were in a lot of about 200 ashcans they got, mostly Stormwatch. In this batch, there were 10 Black #2s, 1 Black #3, 35 Red #1s and 8 or so Blue #1s. I bought them all. In this context, it may have been that these were the only ones left. I don't know, as this is the only time I ever was able to buy blacks. There have been 2-3 Black #1s, 4-5 Black #2s, and ZERO Black #3s for sale on eBay since at least 2000. Maybe Sam Keith still has them. I'll have to try and track him down, but someone said he was living in England right now.
  12. I got all excited....I thought it would be another Maxx #3 Black. Has anyone...anyone at all...seen another copy?
  13. Minus the duplicates? Probably about 30-40K.
  14. Forgot to include these with the last batch. It's nice to double the census on single digit books.
  15. I wonder if a custom title that would only appear in a post in the marketplace would be in order. I wonder if it would even be possible. One thing the moderators CAN do is ban select members from having access to a particular part of the forum...like the Market area. This is easily done and would prevent those individuals from being able to view or post to this area while still being able to access the rest of the forums. Something else that could be done, although I'm not sure if it's possible, is to take away their private messaging privileges. This would prevent them from soliciting any business in private away from the selling forums. If they're aren't going to ban these crooks...then this would be the next best thing. If these individuals are so frigging desperate to "contribute" to the forums...then let them contribute to other areas without giving them the ability to con fellow members out of their money. Is there any way we could just banish them to the Coin Forum; kind of use that as our own personal "Phantom Zone"? Evil. Pure evil.
  16. dumb as a stump? Jack yes, stooping to ad hominem You're making that up right? He didn't really say that! There's no way I could make that up. It was in this discussion. #3363982 - 08/09/09 02:35 AM Re: Who can ban Comic Supply from selling on the Boards? There's more there if you have the stomach for it. Crazy moon talk JPS ........ I'm speechless. How did I miss that post? I posted in that thread!
  17. I don't think I've ever looked at the Probation thread before, but I had to gawk at this ongoing disaster. Is ComicSupply really trying to drum up business and get out of the Hall of Shame by being insulting, uncooperative, condescending and -- well, better explained by example. In case anyone missed this discussion of the movement of the sun, earth and moon during eclipses a couple of weeks ago -- Oh come on. This is fake, right? He didn't *REALLY* say that, did he? That's ok, we've all supped from the ad hominem buffet where Short Bus Russ is concerned.
  18. Oh Lord. Call me when 8 brings the level back up to at least 8th grade. This "I know you are, but what am I" stuff is trés tiresome...
  19. So what is the connection between the two of you?
  20. I would imagine that, if anyone cared, ComicShoofly could be prosecuted for Ponzi schemes. After all, isn't that why he's here? To drum up new "business", part of which is used to pay off old customers who managed to catch up to him?
  21. It's good to see that you've dropped some of the attitude. But I have to say, at least for myself, you took it way too far and there's no way I'd do business with you again. Maintain the cool head though man. For you this should be all business, not personal. This is just his standard modus operandi in action again. He doesn't really mean it. If he meant it, he wouldn't keep doing it. Instead, he goes ballistic, then apologizes, and then does it again down the line. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's much like an abused spouse. How many times do you have to get a broken nose before "I'm sorry" is meaningless?
