  1. oh, now, living in LA, that just HURTS.
  2. I should mention, none of these books was pressed...
  3. (And hey, at least it's the pretty tough to find chromium version...)
  4. My very first Byrne X-Men 9.8...though, I should have pressed my #117 that got a 9.6. Doubtless, the recipient has. Sigh. And...my earliest 9.8 self-sub so far...
  5. I hope the split was amicable. I wonder who got Bucky? Oh right...he's dead...
  6. This is actually a very tough book to get in 9.8..only 12 on the census: Oh gosh, ho hum, another NM #98 in 9.8...that makes 8 for 8.... A book I bought as "mint" from "Land of Nevawuz" in 1991 for $7. I'll take it.
  7. What, no comments on my chintzy Copper 9.8s? Fine. I'll just post more. (thumbs u
  8. What I meant is I am sure that is a yellow haired girl in the bottom right corner. She has on lipstick. That part was a joke. There would no more be a gay couple on the cover of a Marvel comic in 1970 than there would be a mixed race couple on the cover of a DC comic in 1950. It was just the "in" hairstyle at the time, thanks to Mia Farrow.
  9. The message is over the top: "If you get yourself an education, woman, you will never find a man who will marry you...and that's every girl's dream, after all. You don't want to be ALONE, do you??"
  10. Wow. I can imagine the outrage if that were published today.... Talk about hitting you over the head. They should have just put HINT...HINT!!!! on the cover. But that gay couple in the bottom right is sweet...how progressive of Marvel...
  11. Hmmm....if MM #25 is ever published, all those CGC labels will be wrong....
  12. A couple of error CGC's.... (for those keeping score, there are 25 Batman 427s on the census....I have, myself, submitted 8 of them. That's a nice percentage. )
  13. Let's start with a bang....and some Gaimany goodness....
  14. Anybody wanna see what I finally got back?
  15. I kept my ear to the street for a while, but then a semi came roaring by one day, and this happened: It also turned me into an old Mongolian woman.
  16. I can't let such a beautiful set-up go wasted, you know....
  17. I don't think Dr. Watson is interested in a copy........
  18. THAT would be awesome. I have more copies of Realm #4 than I know what to do with...
  19. I was putting BigMike BACK in, after he'd been sliced God knows how far back. I shouldn't have assumed, even subconsciously, that BigDaddy had it right. This is a train wreck.
