  1. 8.5. Looks like a big crease running from top to bottom of the book a couple of inches from the spine, right? That's the big deduction for me
  2. Oh wow, I guess I'm way off on this I was seeing that as a 7.5/8.0. Is the top of that first page a big factor for others' lower grades?
  3. 7.0 but I'm marking down pretty heavy based on that corner
  4. I was thinking 7.5 too. If @Zegeroth is right and the bottom left isn't really that bad I could bump up to 8.0
  5. 7.0 but I think C/P would go a long way toward 7.5 or even 8?
  6. I'm surprised it would be 5.0 even with all those tears! I was thinking 4.0 but that's why I'm still learning, and I definitely defer to the experts.
  7. Very nice looking book! I think I'm seeing some dirt in the top right and lower right parts of the back cover but even with that it looks like a 9.0 to me. I think if you had it cleaned and pressed you might realistically look at a 9.4. But I'm still a relative newb so take that with a grain of salt until some of the wiser folk weigh in...
  8. Tough to tell exactly what's going on with the "waviness". I agree this is a C & P all the way - I would think maybe even an 8.0 afterwards
  9. From the front I was thinking 8.0 but with the back I think it's down to a 6.5. Still an amazing flea market find though! What'd you pay for it??
  10. 8.0, what a beauty! Thanks for sharing it!
  11. I think 4.0 because of the wrinkling on the back but I would also tend to think this is a great candidate for C & P
  12. I'm going 4.0. That back cover looks much better than I expected for some reason!
  13. A title I haven't seen much on this board, thought it would be fun and would love your thoughts. Tape repairs on front and back but does sit remarkably flat for a 75 year old book!
  14. Was thinking 6.0 as-is, agree with the experts that C & P is a great idea!
  15. I was thinking it was a 7.5/8.0 but not familiar with what constitutes a tape pull flaw and/or how to grade it. @grendelbo can you elaborate a little on it, would be really interested to learn.
  16. 9.4 for me, unless that white mark at the top center of back and front is something other than printing
  17. I would think 9.4 and with a press maybe even 9.6 on the newsstand. For the other copy, I don't think that bottom corner is so bad it goes to 8.5. It's a 9.0 for me. (but I'm a newb and others on here are MUCH more knowledgeable so take my opinion with a grain of salt)
  18. I was thinking 9.2, but I'm a relative newb so discount my opinion appropriately
  19. I was thinking 9.4 too. What about the discoloration above the MCP logo? Looks similar to smudge on the free edge?
