  1. I've got to mention how good Jude Law was in doing all the *Shats" exaggerated mannerisms in the SNL spoof
  2. I can be forgiving of all that and settle at 5.5, hoping the staples hold. Paging @1950's war comics one of your favs!
  3. Must confess, I haven't seen it. Apparently he gave a lot of writers their start and gave them credit for it, unlike the other Eltham comedian, a Mr. Hope, or something? The Up Pompeii series was my favourite, sadly not politically correct enough for repeating, unless I missed 'em! He did a couple of Carry Ons, Jungle was one, the other was one of the hospital settings???
  4. Dear ol' Frankie, he was born just up the road from where I am, well 4/5 miles
  5. If there was a pence variant there'd be a thread 10 pages long by now...
  6. I'd rather turn the page...... .....Cue Frank Spencer Gif...
  7. 7.0/7.5 on this, the press will improve that obviously.
  8. Right, at the end of the day the price is solely determined by the buyer, yours would probably get a higher price simply on comparison of the defect. The cover of yours also has more eye appeal, in fact, I think 4.0Q for yours is a little harsh, 4.5Q looks right to me maybe even 5.0Q, but that my opinion.
  9. I had a dreaded sinking feeling that I had graded this book at an 8.0 or something. Well done btw, worth the slab
  10. Why would a complete comic at 4.0 or any grade be qualified, it would just be a blue label.
  11. I couldn't tell you Maurice, these I the first I ever bought, plus I haven't even got round to reading them yet....
  12. That bottom left edge doesn't looks so bad head on, but there seems to be a stain in the same area as the long cb creases, I'm still at 3.5 because of that, but that you get the 4.0
  13. This depends whether the seller when listing his product has bothered to put the books in the right era/category , in which case there is nothing you can do, save to grin and bear it.
  14. If there's nothing major going on with the rest of the book it looks to be a 5.5 if qualified, otherwise it's the 0.5. blue. See what others think. If you could supply a full on shot of the back cover that would be helpful. See current discussion here...
  15. Cheers Dale, it's been a lot of laughs
  16. For the Dracula one they may have used an image of Carlos Villarias from a Spanish poster. I have seen a a Lugosi Spanish poster and he still looks a little like Villarias.
  17. See if this works Mike, Vimeo sometimes works where YT doesn't. (no promises though!)
  18. If there is kasharic, I wouldn't go to the expense of having it done. I too have a pence copy of this book which I bought for £12.00 at the height of all the movie hype. I'm sure someone can advise if it is removable should you wish to go that route.
