  1. Here comes FTG's comic book/song challenge!
  2. There's a few things going on with this, especially on the back cover around the first paragraph of the advertisement, text is smudged, and either creased or a sealed tear (?) Several spine ticks breaking colour more evident on back cover. Couple of light creases brfc., tanning to the top of interior fc. I'm at 6.5 at best. What's the PLOD for? CT?
  3. I think the 1.5 and especially the 1.8 are a hark back to the early days of modern grading when OS had it's 100 point system but with some revision by CGC. IIRC 1.5 was the bottom end of the G grade, where books could have a piece missing or cut outs so long as it didn't affect the readability of a comic, now with CGC it's a FR/G, but still meets that aformentioned criteria. heavy wear. 1.8 is structually better, but can still have pieces missing on the cover and spine splits 2"/3".
  4. That brfc looks a little soft, so may drop it by a point and may only come in as an 8.0. Hope not though
  5. There has been an animated series of Andy Capp, a live action TV version, and a stage musical with songs by Alan Price. In 1960, Buster Capp was created.... .
  6. I do think, weird as it sounds, an almost emotional attachment is formed with the books and things we collect. Every choice is going to be a hard one.
  7. In Time. I have done the whole nine yards of this load of old pony! It was made slightly more interesting as the copy uploaded to YouTube had the neg flipped and all writing was back to front. I haven't checked yet, but I should imagine it won a "Golden Raspberry". I did quite a lot of clock watching from 15 minutes in. I felt like W,C. Fields, when he spent a week in Philadelphia one day. Got to find your review now.
  8. Frozentundraguy should be thanked really, as he selected the song.
  9. My apologies to FTG for this offering to his comic book/song challenge for today. Lady
  10. Not unless it fell into an active volcano, an operating wood chipper, vat of sulphuric acid, or a mouse trap set to kill. My case rests
  11. It's actually quite difficult to pick out online. I can see a slight whitening to the corners you've detailed, but I'm unsure if what I'm seeing in the margin between those two points is a faint tide line stain as a result of moisture? Maybe others will give a more definite answer?
  12. I'm going to say that they would treat it as incomplete, assuming it affects the story on some pages as well as the artwork, so 1.5 at best, more likely a 1.0. That's my take, which could be completely wrong.
