  1. Sent back two books using ME, one was broken when shipped back to me and the other had really bad Newton rings. Entered into SFG on April 14, and went to G/E/I about a week later. Shifted to QC and then shipped both on 12 May 2022. I'm very happy with the turnaround time. It weirdly went in G/E/I fast and then sat there, but the bottom line is it is being sent back quickly and faster than promised.
  2. Mine were received 4/14/22 and they have been sitting in G/E/I for a couple of weeks. Things like this really make me scratch my head.
  3. My ME book has been trapped in G/E/I for a couple of weeks now. No biggy since it hit that stage quickly and it is still well within the listed TATs, but it notable for me since this is the first time I have had something stall out there.
  4. I crushed it this round except for the HtD, where I was far enough away on the grade to make up for the bullseyes I hit on other books :P
  5. It has been a week now and the ME books are still in SFG. Does anyone know how long ME books usually take once they hit this stage? It is my first time with this process.
  6. Yup, the clock starts when the box is opened and it hits SFG.
  7. Shipped 2 May 2022. Some great results mixed with puzzling ones in this group. I will have to look at the books again once they get here.
  8. This is good news for me, I have a group that hit QC on the same day so hopefully they will ship out today.
  9. Coming up on two weeks without hearing what to do about the book that was sent back unencapsulated even though it made the pre-screen, and a month of waiting to hear back from accounting about an overbilling. I like to stay patient with stuff like this, and I am pretty chill about it all, but maybe CGC needs to invest in more support people to meet these demands. We all know that mistakes can happen, but people get less and less understanding the longer they wait for a resolution.
  10. This group just went to QC, so: SFG 31 Jan 2022 GEI 27 Apr 2022 QC 29 Apr 2022.
  11. I would guess there are two main reasons. First off, pre-1975 books have to be checked more closely for restorations and such and take a bit more time to grade than moderns. I mean, if the decision on the majority of books is where in the 9-range it falls the grading can go super fast. The second is the newer graders who are hired on would likely start at the modern tier and then work up to the older books once they build up experience. So new hiring will impact on the modern tiers first. Following along those lines, I would put the most experienced graders on the WK and Express tier books first since the stakes are highest there. I don't know any of that for sure, but it makes the most sense to me.
  12. My 31 Jan 2022 slow track moderns just hit GEI. Loving these faster turnaround times.
  13. My ME books hit SFG 14 Apr 2022 and shifted to GEI today 27 Apr 2022. Looking forward to getting these back. One book had really bad Newton rings, and the other one had the corner of the slab cracked during shipping.
  14. And shipped Apr 22. Man that was fast. The grades were very fair and almost exactly in line with what I expected. My EoSV 2 hit 9.6 when I was hoping for a 9.8, but I had 2 of my Usagi Yojimbo 1s out of four hit 9.8 when I was thinking one would. So one a touch better, one a touch worse, and 13 books hitting the exact grade I was expecting.
  15. I haven't noticed any dropoff in expected grades as the speed has gone up. I did have a book come back earlier this week that was in the reject box even though it was listed as making the 9.8 pre-screen. I can live with some human error though as long as it is uncommon and they fix the mistake for me.
  16. Moved to Grading/QC on Apr 22. This one has been super fast even for fast track.
  17. The box was opened in average time (about 2 weeks or so), but things are moving super fast now. 15 Fast Track Moderns SFG 19 Apr 2022 Just shifted to G/E/I 21 Apr 2022
  18. Just my 2 cents on this one since it is something I have railed about before. In order for this mistake to happen the person submitting it must have put in incorrect info in the submission form. He is clearly a scam artist so no surprise that after his little trick worked he is bouncing from one forum to another trying to sell off these books. I am sure CGC is taking a lot of heat for missing this one, but honestly a lot of the vitriol should be directed to the person trying to scam people with this. Also, some of the blame has to go to Marvel for publishing facsimile editions that are almost identical to the original. The variants are way too small to miss an even experienced people can be duped by them if they are not super careful.
  19. I was stoked that a package from CGC arrived this morning. Then I opened it and discovered one of the books that made the 9.8 pre-screen was not encapsulated and was sent back in the reject box.
  20. Is there a good way to get ahold of accounting? I placed on order on 7 Jan 2022 which was prior to the change in fees, but the package was not opened until 29 Jan which was after the increase. Honest mistake. I have tried emailing, and I have called many times and just sat on hold until I timed out. I also left a message. Customer service is always helpful but in this case they just directed me to call accounting and expect to sit on hold and time out a lot due to how busy they are. I'm pretty chill about stuff like this and I know it will be fixed eventually. I just want to know if there is something that I am missing in terms of how to reach them.
  21. I personally prefer 122 and have always gravitated toward that one. The Green Goblin cover is outstanding, and I like how Parker kind of loses it in the story.
  22. My order of 15 books in Fast Track Modern just hit SFG. This is my first time using FT.
  23. 15 books. I was trying to hold it under 10 but that didn't work out.
