  1. One of my all-time favorite bands right there. Sadly, I never saw them in concert.
  2. This 3.0 presents better than a 4.0 and 5.0 that sold in the last year. The future owner will be proud to display this one!
  3. This reminds me so much of the illustrations I'd see in creepy Halloween books when they'd roll out the book fair when I was in elementary school. Love it!
  4. It does not matter how many times you attempt to justify your actions. Several boardies have attempted to highlight the fact that your responses do not make sense. At times, it seems as though you are arguing with or against yourself. You interrupt your own thoughts to break off on a new tangent that no one here can follow. In spite of this, I am pretty sure we understand your position. The fact is, we just don't agree with you.
  5. If the mods (or Gods) are paying attention, can you kindly lock this thread before someone’s head explodes? 🙃
  6. Thank you for taking the time to share the information and photographs!
  7. For what it’s worth, I vote yes for the HoS nomination. The buyer’s actions are just plain nefarious, from demanding a refund after so much time had passed to trying to screw the seller out of both book and cash, not to mention the vindictive lies to PayPal, the lies to the seller himself, the overinflated grade on eBay, and the general sketchiness of his eBay “sales”, and then acting as though he did the seller some kind of favor by coming (sort of) clean, it’s clear the buyer only showed up to resolve the matter not because he saw the error of his ways, but in some half-assed attempt to save his own bacon/try to salvage his own reputation.
  8. I wouldn’t have paid $100 after reading that incoherent tome of a description. He sounds like a snake oil salesman who sampled way too much of his own product.
  9. Now this definitely looks similar to the writing on mine. Thanks for posting!
  10. Thank you. I suspected as much on this one, but it's nice to hear confirmation!
  11. I added a couple more books to my original post. It's nice to have people take the time to respond, so thank you all!
  12. Thanks for going through the trouble of digging that out. I'm no expert, but I think the two letters look to have been written by a different person?
  13. Thanks for the fast responses. I am sort of new to the world of pedigrees, but thought it would be cool if I inadvertently picked one up!
  14. I bought this comic, and someone suggested that the "L" on the front cover could indicate a pedigree. This does look to be an old-school case going back about 15 or so years, so I guess it's possible that CGC didn't recognize it as such (if, in fact, it IS a pedigree). I am pretty sure the Adventures into Darkness is a Bethlehem copy. Not sure about the Lucky Comics 2. Again, opinions welcome... Thanks in advance.
  15. Closed. Thanks for the views, the "Likes', and the inquiries, but I'll be moving a few elsewhere and keeping a couple in my pc.
  16. I will be closing this thread tonight, and will likely tuck these away in my pc if they do not sell. Here’s the fine print: CONUS only, unless we have agreed on other arrangements ahead of time. ABSOLUTELY NO PL/Hall of Shamers, or probies. The first “Take” wins. A definite "I'll take it" in the thread trumps pending negotiations. I'm sure most of you know the routine. Please review photos carefully and ask any questions beforehand. I accept instant payment via PayPal. That's it. SHIPPING: Unless a different method is agreed upon beforehand, shipping in the CONUS will be USPS Priority $20 for raw or graded books with both insurance and signature required, unless specified otherwise. For bundle deals, we will have to work out something on shipping ahead of time. Again, U.S. only unless we talk first. Returns are fine within 7 days of receipt for raw books, but Buyer must cover return costs, and items must be returned in their original condition.
  17. Ooh! Nice Amazing Ghost 14, and raw to boot!
