My very first direct submission to CGC, and I decided to just try a few recent variant covers. Not sure what's going on with the Batgirl, it looked perfect! But at least I got some nice Newton Rings over the face. No rings on the other virgin covers, however, and they look great.

Since it was my very first direct submission to CGC, I tried to track everything (maybe will help other new folks know the process as well). Submitted, and I think I hit it perfect this time! Well, I'm sure the grades match some book...somewhere....

I've scored exactly 4 points in each of the 4 rounds....is there a Mr/Ms Consistency prize? (since that's about all I can win at this point)

My 4-book modern fast track has been sitting in Grading/Quality control since 6/14...how did yours get shipped before me (I'm just impatient)

They do say this in the listing: Q: Has this book been CGC or CBCS graded? A: We did not ever submit this book for grading. We do not believe it was ever graded by a 3rd party grader. Q: Why didn't you CGC/CBCS this comic book? A: We saw no reason to have this book encapsulated in a plastic case where the buyer can't see the pages or touch the actual book. We believe that a book like this should be appreciated in it's natural state. Given that this is not a brittle book or ultra high grade copy, we feel that the protection offered by encapsulation is not necessary. We wanted to be the first to publicly auction a raw Action Comics #1 in almost a decade!

My Batman approved grades are in! Either that, or he's just stupefied on how far off I am... Now to figure what the deal is with the real, "live" miniature dogs on the back of #100. They really send those through the mail?

The best bet may be to post pictures in the "Hey Buddy, Can you spare a grade?" section of the forum. There, you may get ideas and opinions on the condition of your books.

I wonder if they just picked up various "sciency" related-terms from that day. That back cover is scarier than the front!

I checked mine, and does have some sort of line, although it doesn't "feel" like a crease. I didn't notice on my cover B.

In addition to my custom Excel spreadsheet, I've been using the CLZ comic app for when I'm not at home. It has a wishlist function along with a catalog of what you already own (there's a barcode scanner to help enter your inventory). It also has cover art and variants for the latest/upcoming issues. However, it cost $15, which is a one time fee, but you can use it for up to 100 books for free. I think that includes a cloud sync/backup

I recently sent in my very first submission directly to CGC (4 modern fast tracks), using the online form. I see that USPS delivered it yesterday around 1pm. At what point would I be able to see any sort of status on "My submissions"? Currently it isn't showing anything (unless I'm looking in the wrong place). Not a big deal, but I'm impatient :)

Yes, this is crazy. I was just bidding on an item, and submitted the high bid with about 10s to go...counted all the way down until 0, then automatically switched to another item since it was no longer available! I think had to click (one or two times?) to see the original listing and to see whether or not I had won (unfortunately was sniped). Dumb!

I did! But paid a little more than that, so nice catch for you! I see it dropped some on ebay, but I think I got a pretty clean copy with little/no bindery tear, so I'm happy.
