  1. Classic DC shock style cover from spring 1967
  2. Classic shades of Adventure Comics 247
  3. Indeed. I think this issue concludes the story, running through Action 363 to 366. At the time, I found it all rather disturbing.
  4. Action 378: penciller Swan; inker Adams
  5. Jan 1964. Green K deadly, Gold K most disastrous, Red K endless outcomes. The rest more obscure
  6. Illustrating here variation of color tones.
  7. DC always loved to shock with their covers. I thought the Marvel approach of speech free covers helped the reader develop their own sense of tension
  8. Action 352 to 378 illustrates how from mid '60s to late '60s DC had developed a very different look for their books
  9. Two spectacular Showcase #55 posted here. I was buying from Harley back then, too. Mostly unseen copies in those pre-scan days from his paper catalogues but never worried about that.
  10. I bought this issue new off the stand. What a GREAT giant this is. The reprint of Superman 149 alone elevates this book.
