  1. kinda tough one here, some 7.0+ attributes but with the light soiling on the back along with that small blue stain on the FC I think it will grade lower. I'll go with my first impression, 6 and meet in the middle at 6.5. What were you thinking Gadzukes? You can DM me if you want to leave it out of the thread. Thanks for sharing!
  2. My first guess was 6.0...but i can see it as a 6.5 i'll agree with Deadpoolica.
  3. Should only post 1 book per topic...But as far as the Moon Knight, nice book! I believe its about a 7.5.
  4. Speaking of SC22 and GL how about this for a team up cover!!!
  5. That seems right. I believe the 15 cent issues for Flash were the first issues to come out monthly. Hey, I believe this is the last post for page 130. Everybody get ready for 131 so dig into those boxes and get those Flash 131's ready for the scanner now. 131 is one of my all time favorite Flash covers!
  6. I love seeing that 105 Terry! Thanks for sharing! I may have shared this story before but i'll never forget that day back in the 70's ( I was about 12 or 13) when I asked my local comic shop owner if he'd ever seen a 105 before. I'd never even seen a photo of one! All I could do was look at the the little note in the price guide (105 ...origin retold ) and imagine. He said no at first and paused for a moment....and said "now that I think of it I did have one in my old book store years ago but it sold right away as I recall." "Well what did it look like? What was on the cover?" I asked. "It was the Mirror Master on the cover." My mind immediately went to work in an attempt to create an image of the cover. Its funny how that memory has stuck with me all these years. That little exchange, right when my enthusiasm for the hobby was just picking up steam....
  7. I never thought of it that way before, but you are absolutely right! The Showcase issues would all be forgotten if it weren't for the success of the run. Another thing I did not realize until my second attempt at completing the run was the fact that it did not run monthly at first. This was new territory and they were unsure and so they proceeded with caution and only published Flash every other month. I'm not sure exactly when they finally went to every month, but it was years later.
  8. The cover is slightly miswrapped and there's that slight bend at the top. I believe it would grade at 9.4 as well.
  9. I would also say 9.6 on this one. Those top corners are sharp, almost no spine stress that we can see anyway. Nice book!
  10. This one is kind of tough because from the front the book looks to be about in 6-7.0 shape, but the scratched and scuffed back of the book will probably bring it down to about the 5.0 range IMO. Lets see what some of the others say.
  11. I guess there are no more 130's out there right now? On a side note, yours truly tied for second place in the "Lightning Round" grading contest last weekend! We are counting down the days for the March Madness grading contest to begin over in the "Hey Buddy Can you Spare a Grade" thread. If you've never been over there its worth a look especially when the contest gets going, lots and lots of fun even if you're not in the contest, just reading the posts and comments, meme's and gif's is worth the price of admission ($0 lol!)
  12. Yes, Terry -- thanks for keeping up with the thread! I made my "key" purchase for the year today and should have the book in hand early next week. I will certainly share that when it comes in! Remember I'm on a strict one "key" a year diet !!! -- last year it was the 123!
  13. Yes I agree with a 1.0, if only they had used 200 pieces of tape it may have been a 1.5 lol! Still amazing to have in any condition, congratulations!!!
  14. First of all congratulations on getting your SS#1!!! Most likely the tape is whats holding the cover together and on the book so that means spine split and cover technically detached. As long as its complete, I believe it could get a 1.8.
  15. Beautiful book! That is a pretty large water stain and I believe more significant than say a fingerprint. I would tend to agree with a 9.0. It looks almost flawless except for that, had there been any spine ticks it could have easily been graded lower IMO.
  16. I think this book will grade higher than 9.0. There are examples of books in the grading guide with more defects in the 9.4 category. That being said CGC is traditionally harder on the modern books. I would feel comfortable grading it at 9.2 with the possibility of 9.4, unless I missed something?
  17. Do you think the -script will be Flashpoint? Or an origin movie first? Flashpoint would seem to be perfect considering the success of WW and Aquaman.
