Very lucky! I graded my brains out on those last 2 and still only scored 6 points

I believe we will have a March madness, but the real question is will someone step up to take the place of this one? Such a valuable contest for us all! It will be a huge loss to go down to just the one contest.

I agree the first book the .5 was the easiest to call---Jumbo was my biggest miss of the contest, although there were many this year

Did they say the final stats won't be out until this evening?

I went back and forth on HOS with that long color breaking crease and the major foxing/stains on the back. But I thought it may get a 6.0--but with those defects and their severity I pulled it back a bit to a 5.5. For the FF I was really inclined to go with a 2.5 due to the tears but it was just normal wear and tear and no visible spine split-usually books that are graded under 3.0 have some other disastrous defect like mold or chunks missing so I went with a 3.0.

I guessed 5.5 and 3.0 another 6 point round.

I need to re-calibrate my modern grading! I was way too harsh on the youngsters!

Ugh! My 126 is another one of those 'well loved" comics. So well loved in fact that some kid 50 years ago thought it necessary to tape it back together! Well its the thought that counts, you can tell he loved his Flash comics! Just like me.

Great prizes! Even some of us in the lower 3rd of the pack may get something. I will put my top 20 in later this morning.

I wasn't expecting to get a prize this year...I did so badly. It would be great to earn 10 more points in the last round and make my effort look respectable at least

Agreed. Use the zoom sparingly. And never make it the last look you take at the book. Always take one last look at the whole book. If i'd went with my gut on most of these rounds I would have scored much higher.
