Another thing, in real life you just don't get along with everyone you meet. I certainly don't. It's then unreasonable to think that everyone here is always going to like everyone else. That's life. All the complaining is a YOU problem.

From a new person's perspective a ton of the posts here on the CGC boards are bringing up old grievances. Like complaining old hens.

What happens when a post is reported? Is it like tattle telling on a school mate? I hated those guys.

Another thing, for a long time people communicated face to face. You lost facial expression when the phone was invented but you can still hear inflection when talking to someone. Communicating by text is clearly inferior and is just not what we were designed to do. When I type - "KAV, IS, AWESOME" it can be interpreted in many ways. Did I yell it at my monitor? Say it sarcastically? In awe? I actually spoke it in a monotone computer voice like the W.O.P.R. in WarGames, "SHALL, WE, PLAY, A, GAME?" We just need to relax a bit given the limitations of a public chat board, at least until I learn how to report people's posts! (kidding)

Agree, all this talk about safe spaces is part of the problem. People shouldn't have to self sensor, just about any post (or anything someone says for that matter) could be offensive to someone, you just need a large enough audience.
