What I'm seeing is that there's not enough differentiation between the good pieces and the mediocre pieces. The good pieces are still undervalued but the mediocre pieces are, if anything, overvalued. People are just buying "whatever" without discriminating enough. It makes me think that the OA market must be flooded with newbies.

The issue with this - is that in some areas of collecting (like my X-men ) the “good” stuff rarely changes hands… so if you want a Paul smith page.. or a jrjr first run you take what shows up. And with many people wanting it it drives auction prices skyward

X-Factor #90 page 13 sold on HA yesterday for $1320...

    Less than 24 hours later...."offers"

They have several pieces won on HA yesterday now listed on their CAF for "offers" (X-Factor #75, Wolverine #141, Avengers the Children's Crusade #5, etc.) This guy needs to slow down, Michael Browning hasn't even posted his HA Wednesday recap on Facebook yet.  :)

Justin lists everything he owns for “offers” - if you’ve ever tried buying from him it isn’t about the flip

  3. Closing her down…. Thank you all for taking a look, and especially to the buyers @ThePreacher @El Toro Rojo and @storypapers ! They could have landed or be landing soon please let me know when they are safe and sound! I worry lol

books go back in the closet for a later date and a couple pages show up in the mail!

I saw this one but wasn't a key word for me so it was already gone, nice pickup!

Funny you mention this… I was talking to a buddy about this sorta. That we are getting to reliant on key words and miss stuff we would like because we don’t dig anymore .

key words are nice but not everything hits them

YESSSSSS - what an awesome cover.  My two cents on conservation - attitudes are changing, evinced by, among other things, the creation of the specialized label.  I think we're on the way to conservation being viewed VERY differently from restoration.  And personally - in or out of the slab - if someone wants to shore up my book structurally or seal tears so they stop growing, all I would say is THANKS.  So happy for you, Preach!

I agree! As long as everything is all disclosed it’s better for the long term of the books..

and if you ever want to get something done Phantom Restoration did the work on these and he is a magician! I can’t remember his tag but he is on the boards.
