Wondering why this is a turn off? ( I have a couple pieces signed by stan one I Love that it is and one I would have preferred wasn't but was not a deal breaker neither was done by me)

Picked up this 11x14 David Finch wolverine from Anthony’s comic art today as part of a reworked trade... really love it but may have to beg @stinkininkin to ink it for me ...

That’s a great idea and a pretty appropriate one for now- some of you may have seen me post then delete a Larroca cover .. well I made a trade with a local dealer last week , but he called me a day later apologizing profusely that it was actually sold by one of his guys already and never pulled from inventory. Being that I have a great relationship with the dealer and he does good by me all of the time. I begrudgingly brought the cover back.. he worked with me on a different trade with this being one of the results and promised me he will find me a better Larroca! not part of my quest but who doesn’t love a finch Wolverine!

It is a really cool piece... but the price.. for 5k you can buy some nice important published batman art.. like say Sale Halloween page.. I would not think to hard on it. But to each his own.

Thank you! The Claremont run is what pulls on my heart strings and the foundation of my fandom.. but I figured why pick and choose.. go for it all!! (Plus no covers from the Claremont run fit my budget lol)

Art problems....

SOOOO.. Since @JdMehring posted this it has been bothering me - I decided since I basically have the rest of my life to finish this trek (it also helps that the later artists are probably cheaper lol) I am extending my quest to include ALL of the artists who have done at least three consecutive issues... I may be crazy but lets go!

Pretty great mail call this morning with a lucky/funny story attached. I was looking through eBay last week and saw the below offering.. I really liked the image but thought it was pretty rough to be the published cover. I asked @AnkurJ for his opinion. He agreed and said to reach out to Scott Kolins direct in fb. Scott responded a few days late and said yes it’s real but it is a prelim. I thanked him for the info and saving me some money .. then something funny happened . He said well I have the original and don’t usually sell covers but I would make an exception! I was surprised and delighted.. and now it’s mine! That is what I am thinking.. Anthony offered it to me earlier in the year for 165k , Obviously not something I can swing but interested to see where it turns up.

I was really surprised how low the X-men 4 splash went .. I expected at least 150/175- it is Kirby x-men.. he only did 10 issues of full pencils and I think 2 or 3 of them are not sure to exist. It is a great full team image, of a very key issue and i believe the only page from that book to turn up. If I played at those levels I would have been all over it. Do you think this is one that will turn up on a different dealer sight?

It is funny because a couple books I got from you a while ago were CPVs and I do not think either of us realized when I bought them
