  1. Really thought the bottom staple of the Iron Man was at least partially detached.
  2. Beautiful book, but not a 9.8 IMO. I would be very happy with the 9.6 on this one.
  3. Seller had this at 4.5, was thinking it may be lower; so I am glad you had it where you did.
  4. Seller had this at a 5.5. Was thinking it might be higher, but looks to be in that range. Tyvm.
  5. When I bought this from eBay, seller had it labeled "VF" - so it seems to be in the correct range... 7.5 - 9.0 with your estimates. Appreciate the responses.
  6. Hi... I bought this off eBay about 8 years ago. I have always been a Hulk fan and read the Trimpe Hulk in Marvel Super Heroes reprints as a kid. The bottom corner has a little bit of an issue on the back cover. And seems a bit dirty with a little bit of a shadow on the bottom back cover. Nice gloss. Appreciate your thoughts.
  7. Hi - picked this up recently. I have been on a bit of a Legion kick recently. I think this one may be a lesser grade than what the seller estimated. Not sure if the interior cover shows this, but the top staple is nearly separated from the cover. There is (what I think) is purple overspray throughout from front cover to back. There is a pencil price of 1.00 that has left an indentation. The bottom left corner has a strange crunch... even visible in the centerfold. Appreciate your thoughts.
  8. Hi - picked this up recently. I worked in a comic shop from 1986- 1997. There was a copy of this next to the file cabinet we kept our pull list comics. For those 11 years, i did not know it was third Legion. Duh. When i saw it recently in a list of Legion appearances, my nostalgia kicked in and found a copy. I think it's nice... maybe even higher than what the seller graded it. Not sure if the interior cover shows this, but the staples are firmly attached, but seems to be tearing the cover with opening the book. Appreciate your thoughts.
  9. Thanks very much for the feedback, I appreciate it. I can see it breaking a 9 with a press. Not a super valuable book and only worth it for nostalgia sake.
  10. Does the creased / wrinkled spines possibly fall into a "production defect?" Otherwise; the cover is tight and there is not a spine split. I am a bit surprise the missing piece or corner hits this book that much, but I get it. Thanks again for the feedback. I appreciate it.
  11. Both of your estimates are in line with what I was thinking. Appreciate the feedback. And all things "Apes" were extremely popular at this time. Love it.
  12. A lot of modern books feel like a "roll of the dice" when hoping for the 9.8. Personally, I think the "feathering" on the spine (the white "flecks" up and down - not just at the bottom) are too much of a risk to hope for a 9.8. "Usually," the "feathering" is considered a production defect, but I have seen some books nailed for it. To the point where I don't even really know if this book lands in the 9.0 and up range. It "should" be a 9.2 to 9.6, but it could be worse.
