I do the same thing (own TWD compendiums, Saga trade, Revival trade, + other trades). I've been meaning to buy TWD and Invincible compendiums but I'm worried about the gutter loss. Your thoughts?

You did not just say that... FOR YOU No can do. TPB are for series that were before my time. Call me wasteful, but I'll buy the floppies and the trade if I love it, i.e. PP, Hawkeye, Saga, anything by Brubaker. Going back and reading floppies out of the bags and boards are a pain the .

I just want more people to read it. Print numbers to go up. It's a comic book. It's good. It should be read by most.

What's up with Epic Kill #2?

Holy Moley, I left 50 + copies of that 1st print on the shelf at Travelling Man on Thursday. Did pick up the Thought Bubble variant for cover though Thought Bubble or 2nd Print? Yeah,I think people are confusing the thought bubble with the #1 2nd print. Since he mentioned that he got it for cover, he clearly is referring to the 2nd print of #1 The above auction was for both first prints no thought bubbling I'm asking about what songaboutclouds picked up. Not the auction...... I got this for cover and left 50 plus copies of #1 - 1st print on the shelf. Travelling Man were supposed to distribute the Thought Bubble variant at Thought Bubble but it didn't arrive in time so it was available in their shops after the con. They also had Eric Stephenson signing for them so ordered lots of Nowhere Man #1. (BTW, this was the last nice copy they had at Leeds. There were another 5 or 6 TB variants but all with spine cracks , not sure if Manchester has any?) (AND! sorry to keep editing.... When Revival #4 came out, Travelling man had 30 + copies of Revival #1 - 1st print on the shelf, they are a gem for stuff like this, don't think they have speculators shopping there) Very nice pick up. Love that blue.

in that case, I'd probably pick up the trade, or just pick up a 2nd/3rd printing of #1 more bang for your buck IMHO +1

that wasn't aimed at anyone specifically or a commentary on YouTube posts in this thread. I just think YouTube is a great source of people being...well...train wrecks. Seriously, people love recording (and eventually posting) themselves being total insufficiently_thoughtful_persons on there. Anyhow, back on track (see what I did there): Saga So earlier this month, I scored a #1 CGC SS 9.6... And despite that, it bugged me, as a collector that it was NOT a 9.8.... Today, thanks to jjeanius, I purchased my 9.8 (at the 11th hour, no less). Pretty stoked! (A feeble attempt to re-rail this derail, but hey... worth a shot) Was it also an SS?

I don't understand why you are asking, Matt clearly states that he picked up the thought bubble variant I AM asking because it seems that some people were confused about the two. I haven't seen what he picked up. I'm shocked that he picked up the Thought Bubble Variant for cover. And if he did, good for him. You know what I don't understnad? Why is everyone chiming in with an answer for me, I asked songsaboutclouds about it and he obviously hasn't gotten a chance to answer. Why is everyone answering for him? What gives?

Saga isn't the only book causing hell...check out Peter Panzerfaust..Thats causing a stir. It seems that most recent Image books have gotten a bump lately. It's well deserved. Saga, PP, Nowhere Men, MP, are all excellent. The only thing that the big two have that I think is close is Batman and Hawkguy.

I think its safe to say the print run on saga # 1 means nothing when you have this type of thing going on Really have to worry about saturating the market. Seeing things like this could bring the prices down.

I put a copy of 1 and 2 up, see how it does. I'll take double $ everyday though. Why is the #1 2nd print so high? There's a stack at my LCS...perhaps I should pick those up. Lucked out getting the last copies of #1 and #2 the day they came out, but that only means the condition is sketchy. It looks like the recent ones have come down in the last day or so and are now less than the actual 1st print. I think there was some confusion between the 2nd Print cover and the real variant for #1. I like the cover for the 2nd print better.
