Anyone watching Dueling Dealers tonight?
wolvergeek replied to Dr. Balls's topic in Original Comic Art
I wish they would do this on a different night of the week. Wednesday nights are the weekly Heritage auctions. -
I have the following 9 pieces up for bids in the Wed. Heritage Auction ending on 11/30/22. https://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=3186+793+794+791+1893+792+2088+4294939896+4294966939&type=friend-consignorlive-notice Published pages include 2 from Sergio Aragones' Incurably Mad, 3 from G.I. Joe, 1 from Transformers and 1 from Merv Pumpkinhead. A pinup featuring Wonder Woman/Catwoman by Kim DeMulder and a very nice Mandy piece by Dean Yeagle.

HERITAGE November comic and art auction
wolvergeek replied to jjonahjameson11's topic in Original Comic Art
I was guiding a buddy of mine, a newbie comic art collector, through the auctions on Friday and I also told him how the auctioneers were going way too fast for each lot. I also told him there would be good looking ladies to watch and they were MIA. That one lady does a great job of milking every last dollar out of pieces for the consigners. I had one piece consigned and was hoping she was the presenter. Oh well. -
Marcus Wai is Awesome and the joy of getting feedback

I like his comments. He always points out factual things with each piece sometimes things I don't even see with my own art! -
2 for 2 on pages I really wanted and got them for my cut bid which is another plus! 1 more to go!
-
Might have to adjust budget pieces to $5,000 and under.
-
Love the budget thread! I have my eyes on a few pieces and I hope I can win them for as low as possible! This will be a good thread tomorrow night. I'm sure no one wants to tip their hands yet!

Heritage September 2022 comic and art auction
wolvergeek replied to drdonaldblake1's topic in Original Comic Art
There wasn’t anything in the “scraps” budget range ($10k and under) for us scrappers! Almost snagged the Zeck Punisher cover for $10k but was underbidder. On to the next session! -
I have the following 3 auctions ending tomorrow night (Wed 6/29) at Heritage. Transformers #12 pg 4 by Herb Trimpe featuring Jetfire G.I. Joe and The Transformers #1 DPS pgs 2-3 by Herb Trimpe featuring Snake Eyes, Beach Head, Roadblock, Hawk, Scarlett and Mutt & Junkyard. G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #124 pg 15 by Andrew Wildman featuring Snake Eyes, DEF, Eco-Warriors https://www.ha.com/c/search.zx?saleNo=322226&collection=33&type=friend-consignorlive-notice&FC=0

It’s barely a year and a half old.

2 early G.I. Joe Marvel original art pages ending shortly at Heritage today. https://www.ha.com/c/search.zx?saleNo=7274&collection=149&type=friend-consignorlive-notice&FC=0 Here is the link to some original art pieces I have up at Heritage for next weeks auction. Starts June 22nd and ends Wed. June 29th. https://www.ha.com/c/search.zx?saleNo=322226&collection=33&type=friend-consignorlive-notice&FC=0

Sunday is funday for most of us priced out of Thursday and Friday!
-
I miss the days when I could almost afford a Miller Daredevil or McSpidey page.
-
Wasn't that pretty low for the Jim Lee X-men DPS?
-
I won one of the Kupperberg Spidey pages. Pretty happy to stay under $2k for a black costume appearance. Also snagged the Zeck Captain America page with Spidey but no Cap. I was in on the Zeck and Lee Punisher pages but they want past my budget.
-
Looking for a nice Golden Nam page similar to the one that I was the underbidder on in the Comicconnect auction last week. I have several early Marvel G.I. Joe pages that I would consider in any trades. Here is a link to my CAF if you have something you want to trade. https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=13319

Suggestions for Comiclink to become more competitive
wolvergeek replied to a topic in Original Comic Art
Man I agree with all of this. CLink's website was fine 10 to 15 years ago but it is horrible by today's standards. They really shouldn't have their monthly auction end the day after a main Heritage one. -
No and I know those will be hard to acquire without a huge outlay of cash but one day. It's a slow goal, lol. I have 10,11,12 done.
-
Lot's of nice Punisher pages in the last few CLink auctions. I am slowly reaching my goal of 1 pg for each Jim Lee issue.
