  1. Miss Fury #7,8.0 OW, 1945. Tarpe Mills cover and art. Timely ! Sold to Moetown! If you are not familiar this series, Tarpe was a beautiful FEMALE artist and author. Bin is $2200.00 I added a back cover picture, that's a shadow from my phone on the bottom of the picture
  2. I'm having a little trouble changing my font colors, so I apologize if they are uneven. Jungle Comics #105, CGC 9.2 (old label) OW/W 1948 there are 22 on the census SOLD to Blackmask Okajima Pedigree John Celardo, Maurice Whitman,, August Froehlich and Matt Baker art This is a very nice looking 9.2, it was graded in 2001 at a time when I'm told grading was pretty tight. Bin is $2200
  3. I have back cover pictures for all the books, so if I'm missing one and you'd like to see it, just pm me. I'll be adding them to the thread from my phone. I set sales up on my laptop initially. If you don't know me;) I usually TRY to list alphabetically. I will be listing about 10 books this morning. Batman #20, CGC 1.8 OW/W pages, Cover is detached. There is some tape. 1944, Joker appearance and the 1st Batmobile cover. GPA shows 2 sales of 1.5's this year. One was $2027 and one was $827. The # on the $827 one is 4319239003 but verification was down when I last checked. I suspect the page quality was not as good as this book, but of course you can do your own research. Bin in my copy is $1400.00. If you don't know me;) I usually TRY to list alphabetically. I will be listing about 10 books this morning. Batman #20, CGC 1.8 OW/W pages, Cover is detached. 4. There isn't too much data on most of these to determine prices , but they are very nice books. They are all books I've kept in my collection. A few were listed previously, but I've lowered the prices a bit, a few I've never listed anywhere before. They were part of completed runs that I collected. I accept Zelle Pay, Checks, Money Orders and Paypal. I charge exact shipping to anywhere. I pay for private insurance, but I will need a signature for the books to be covered (that means for Canada, you are talking about Priority or Fedex). I accept returns as long as you notify me within 3 days of receipt and return the book within 3 days, using the same shipping method and packing method, that I sent them to you. Shipping would be on you, since the books are slabbed. Payment is due within 3 days unless we've made other arrangements before you post First take it on the boards or in a PM wins...I have the right to decide which one is first (if it's not obvious)....but a tie (if it's really a tie) will always go to the post on the boards
  5. Tomorrow morning, around 11 AM (EST) I'll be posting a few new slabs, including a Timely. I'll also be posting a few that were in a prior sale, at lower prices. No cookies, this time, but there will be a bag of Cadbury mini milk chocolate eggs to the first person who makes a purchase;)
  6. Yes, that was what I meant. If I buy a book that has sales tax, I pay the sales tax because I'm not a registered business.
  7. I think most people here are hobbyists and don't deduct expenses. It's more simple if you are not taking deductions. Of course it also might cost you more money...but it used to be that unless you declared a profit every few years, you were determined to be a hobbyist anyway. Not sure if that applies to everything, I know it applied to owning 10% of a very slow racehorse many years ago;)
  8. Hope you are having a great day, Tim! Nice books
  9. I sent a group of books last fall, every time one sells I actually get a check within days...and people really answer the phone and talk.
  10. The singing scene put it over the top for me...although if they had Hugh Jackman singing, I would have probably loved it;)
  11. I don't want anyone to bash the Daredevil movie again, or they will be forced to sit through this mess...and this is from someone who has pretty much found every comic book movie, at least "entertaining". I finally found one that made me cringe.
  12. Is there a link to the video? I'd love to see it, but not quite sure how to find it.
  13. I don't see a crease either. I ended at 6.5, because I'm usually under...so if I took my first guess, I would have gotten it correct by accident;)
  14. All yours, John! thanks! #107 Sold to ThothAmon I guess the thread is still open for a few more days. I didn't have time to send the remaining books where I was planning.
  15. A discussion that took place eons ago...between 2 people here. It really had nothing to do with compasses, although I was also a little baffled by the term at the time.
  16. First person to invent a "paper" detector is going to make a fortune!
  17. You know, I didn't even notice that all the books had women...I'm going to have to file and official PROTEST ! (not really)
  18. Absolutely...my aim every time is not to win, but to be in the top 50% . I keep saying, it's guess the CGC grade, not what you would grade it. When I grade something for myself I always go to the lower grade if I'm split between two. Makes less trauma for me in case I want to sell it later on...and I'm not disappointed if it goes for a little less. Here, I'm bumping everything...some I bump a little too much and some I just can't figure out WHY it's so high...like the 9.2 last round that I had as a 7.5. I stretched that one from a 7.0 lol...;) I find if I do well on one or two rounds ...I probably won't on the next few...I just like listening to the chatter...I learned something the other day. I had NO idea they bumped Pedigree books...so I bumped the one this round and I think I was still a little too low.
  19. Only nice thing about this thread is...it was really nice to see you Chris @comix4fun and a few others I have not seen in a while. It's certainly not the first scandal for the company...but a few too many at once, for sure.
  20. OK, instead of going by increments, I'm just going to make these more of a bargain (I hope;) Take 20% off any remaining books, no further discounts, zelle pay or, checks or MO's only, shipping is not included. Thread will close tomorrow night (Sat) at midnight. Thank you!
