  6. Action 234, Unnecessary tape, extra staples on the spine, one piece of tape covering a small split at the bottom. Someone loved this book, he/she wanted to keep it safe. Nice color, nice gloss lots of ncb creasing. If there wasn't tape on this book, it would be a VG- (3.5) Not sure how to grade it now, technically I suppose it's VG- Bin is $45 click
  7. Action 233, A kingdom of Superman! Great color, a sub crease, small tear at the top edge. LOTS of creasing, great gloss. Grade is GD (2.0) Bin is $29 sold to Kevin J Click
  8. Acton 223, 1956, I wonder if the writers working on the new Sci Fy series Krypton read this one;)? Small corner missing lower right, nice color, some small chips, split at the bottom of the cover, a little more than 1”. Grade is Gd/VG (3.0) bin is $22 Sold to LarryW click

  11. Action 196, 1954, Mental Man, some creases, small corner off lower right. This is one of the books from 1954 with the strange page splits. 12 pages before the staple and 8 after. It's complete, there were a few other issues like this in the 40's, I have no idea why they split the pages this way. A long diagonal crease, some spots, a corner missing (smallish) lower right. Grade is at least Gd/VG maybe a bit better. Bin is $55 sold to Kevin J
  12. Action 187, 1953. Another book with a strange page count 10 sheets of paper on each side of the staple, but it's correct, DC had several books with this configuration during that time period. Cover is detached, there is creasing, some dirt, small piece off the back cover, Good (2.0) $50
  13. Action 184, 1953, 40 pages (20 sheets of paper not counting the covers) which is correct. Small chip at the top edge, 2: cover split at the top tear on the back (about 1” x 1/2” Cover on this book is fragile, the pages are nicer . Grade is Good (2.0) bin is $65 Sold to Norrin's Lawyer Click here;)
  14. Action #183, 1953, Probably the nicest book I'm listing here tonight. Lower staple is detached, there is a tear there. Grade is VG- (3.5) or maybe a lttle better. $150
  15. Action #174, 1952. Another 20 pager plus covers, the odd count from that time period. Slight ncb creases near the spine. Hard crease lower right, and a small tear with a smaller piece missing at the bottom. Small tear on the back cover, lower edge. VG- (3.5) or possibly a tiny bit better. Bin is $75 sold to Norrin' s Lawyer,
  16. Action #168, 1952, 20 pages plus the covers. Some really amateurish restoration on this book. By that, I mean there was no attempt to hide anything, I think it was “fixed” by a talented child. There are a few pieces added (with tape) some kind of glue paste near the staples inside, tape in the spine, color touch. It was probably a Gd- before the resto, now it's an apparent VG. Very little sales info on this one, it's very scarce. Especially for an Action comic. Bin is $45 sold to Kevin J
  17. Action #162, 1951 20 sheets of paper (40 pages + the covers) Nice color, cover is detached from the book, there is a tear at the right edge, about 1”.. Grade is Good. (2.0) Bin $65.00 Sold to ThothAmon Click to see full size inside and back cover pictures.

  19. Out of order Action 142, 1950, Scarce, Cover is detached, and some pages are miscut, a few small corners torn off pages. There is very little info on it, one on eBay and a 5.5 sold lst summer for $440 ( just 10 on the census). 21. Action #115, 1947. Don't get all excited, they don't all look this nice;) and most of the books I'm listing are cheaper;) I also have inside pictures for everything since they are lower grade, so it will take a minute to upload them for each listing. Really nice color,Scarce, 1.5” cover split at the top, small corner missing upper right, 2 tear bottom, 2 on the side, back cover looks better, but there are tears at the staples, they are attached, but barely 1 on eBay for $149 that looks lower grade than this (although he says 3.5;) , no sold copies on there. 14 on the census, 1 sold on HA last summer (raw 6.0) for $262. This is about a 3.0 (Gd/VG) Bin $125. Click to see full size inside and back cover pictures.
  22. Tonight I will be listing about 20 Raw, Rare or in some cases, Scarce Action Comics. All are raw, I've owned them for at least 15 years, maybe more. I have a smoke free home. At one time I was trying to fill in all the Action , Adventure, Batman, Superman etc comics from 100 and up. A lot of these books were hard to find, still are, so all I found were low grades and after a while, I just gave up. I'm basing the prices on what I see closed on eBay. Most of the bins are less than what I paid for them, so I'm not going to do discounts (although I will consider reasonable offers, esp. for more than 1 book), I'll just list the leftovers on eBay and keep my fingers crossed;) I wanted to offer them here first:) This thread will stay open until Sunday night at 8 pm. Since these are all raw books, I'm pricing by looking at completed prices on eBay, then I deduct what fees would cost me and a little more. I accept Paypal, checks or Money orders. First here or in a pm wins, by time stamp. If I can't determine the time stamp, the board take it wins. I will send invoices at the end, once you get the invoice, payment is due within 3 days unless we have discussed other arrangements. If you need time payments, it's not a problem, but please PM me before taking anything. Prices are going to be low on these books (at least I think they are low) All the books are raw, A few notes. None to the best of my knowledge, have been pressed or cleaned. I count the pages on every book. I look at the centerfolds to make sure they are attached, if they aren't, I note it. I look for missing coupons, and I grade the way I'd like someone else to grade for something I'm buying, but anyone can miss something or make a mistake. So...If I left anything out, just ask. I take returns on anything. If you aren't happy for any reason, plmk within 3 days of receipt. If I ask you to return the book, then I expect the return within 7 days, packed the same way I sent it. If you just changed your mind, shipping is on you. If I made a mistake, return shipping is on me. Shipping, I will charge exact shipping, but I will discount if you buy a certain amount. Spend $100 and get $5.00 off shipping, $200 and get $10 off shipping, if you spend $300 or more, I'll ship for free in the US, ( in Canada I'll split shipping with you if you spend more than $300). If you live anywhere else, just pm me for shipping estimates before you buy anything. For the USA, I use regional boxes whenever it lowers the shipping price. I don't charge for handling. All books are bagged and boarded, most are going to be in new bags and boards. Most are in Mylite 2's and hardbacks, although I've had to combine because I try to replace all bags and boards and I'm running out;). I can ship 2 regular (1 Giant) books in a cardboard mailer for about $3.50 3-5 books in a flat rate envelope with very strong boards (one will have a wood veneer) for $6.50 12 books in a regional box A for about $8 east coast, $11 West coast. (if it's less I charge the exact amount.) A regional box B is slightly higher but holds at least 20 books. I do not ship comics media mail, because the Post Office states they can not be shipped media (it's in their regulations) and I don't want to be responsible if there is a problem. Tracking is included and so is insurance (I pay for private insurance.). If you buy more than $200 worth of books, signature required is a must, but I pay for that in the US, in Canada, those packages must go priority. I can ship first class to Canada, but its not cheap. Max is 4lbs. I'm going to add a lot of freebies on the thread. I also add some kind of free gift to each order. I forgot, none of these books have been pressed (to the best of my knowledge, although it might help a few. I also have a smoke free home.
