hey guys i know its not going to be a 9.0 or anything like that but to me i dont care about the grade i just care that i have a copy of it, so this copy of this awesome cover and book is good enough for me, though i would not mind knowing the grade, i put a picture of the back and front what would you say this is? also because it is such a low grade for a modern book im thinking of getting dan slott to sign it, is it a good idea, i like his stories and he wrote this one so... thanks! also what i like about this copy is i can actually read it, unlike those other copies of this same book that are in mint condition and cant even be touched without gloves! lol its an exception

It's a good book to have. It has value for sure. If you're keeping it for you I say do what you want to do with it. You could probably get $75 out of it as it is.

It was the virgin Customer Appreciation variant from Unknown Comics. I emailed them and hope they can find a solution, but I always assume they're simply out of stock or that this is an acceptable level of damage for a book that only has a certain guaranteed condition.

If they can't replace it, but offer to take it back I would do that. You will probably be able to find an already graded one by now for the price of the book plus slabbing. Hope it works out. What's the cover look like for that variant?

This latest reboot is technically volume #5 NOT 6 if it matters at this point.

Cool, wasn't sure if the 789 started a new volume. Last time I checked, the volume wasn't even listed anymore. I think MyComicShop gave up too & just started making their own up lol. That LGY is the only saving grace to another #1. I thought the 1:1000 was ridiculous, but 1:2000? C'mon.

It also depends on the collector.  I slab some books that are absolutely worthless, but I need to have a representative copy for inclusion in my Registry Sets...

Yeah I've slabbed a few that I know will probably never be worth anything, but they have sentimental value or whatever & I just want to preserve them. I know I could do that other ways, but the ocd in me makes me want everything to be uniformly the same:cry: I look forward to the day when I've finished off the last of my pricey ASM books and get to slab the rest of my Registry Set. :frown:
