  1. Thanks for all of the feedback. In lieu of said "information", I have decided to give the ECCC a pass
  2. Thinking of going, would be my first time. I would be coming from Wisconsin, is it worth it? Thanks!
  3. Shoot! I don't post a lot, is there a way to move or remove my post? Thanks.
  4. 2 Sharpe's Collecting My wife and I have decided to start up a website to share our collections. My original comic art along with her Schulz Peanuts collectibles. We are hoping to connect with other collectors, add to our collections and sell a piece or two. Actually, I'm looking for something to keep me busy when I retire next year ;-} This is a work in progress and we are learning as we go. Please check it out if you have time and let us know what you think. Thanks, Jeff and Trudy Sharpe
  5. If anyone owns this page or knows of it's whereabouts, I'd like to add it to my collection. I've wondered if Roger Stern might have it, but I don't if he sells his art and I haven't been able to find his contact information. Any and all help in this quest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Thanks! Always difficult to walk away from a piece you find in the wild.
  7. Saw this page today at a local show: Jack Davis, Tales From the Crypt #25, 1951. Ask price was $5,000, but, it's not in my wheelhouse of collecting, (and he wanted cash), so I passed. Did I err?
  8. Does this look like an original Schulz and if so, its value? Thanks!
  9. Congratulations on your weight loss! Very impressive. I hope you find that strip. Best, Jeff
  10. Great thread! I have never been able to find out if this Jim Mooney / Frank Giacoia ad was published. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Not a lot of specific pages that I am looking for, but, here are a few that I've never seen on the market: John Buscema - Avengers 82 - any page! Don Heck - Avengers 23, page 3 Gil Kane - ASM 90 page 12 Romita Jr. - Iron Man 126 - last page splash And, on the, "I'll probably never be able to afford it", list is: Gil Kane - ASM 105 cover Best,
  12. I did some research before I purchased this art. Here is what Tony Isabella, (who worked for Marvel at that time), had to say: "What you have is an attempt by Marvel to cut the actual story page count of their comics without making it obvious that they had done so. All of the issues produced during that period, which I think lasted less than a year, had a page like this. Editorial didn't want to cut the story count to 16 pages of our 32-page comic books. We were told to plot our stories designating two pages which the artists would draw on a single board. Then the production department would blow them up to full size and run them as two seperate pages. Some of us did double-page spreads. Some of us plotted so that the two pages would not appear next to each other and make it obvious that there was something not quite right about them. Eventually, someone figured out that all the extra production work was costing Marvel as much as it was saving by paying for one less page." Since this art was handled differently during the production stage, it's entirely possible that Giocoia inked it. It's also possible that Giacois assisted Mike Esposito with the inks. I have eMailed Mike Esposito about this and hope to have an answer soon. Thanks,
  13. MTIO The comic credits Mike Esposito as inker, but, the page is signed by Frank? Is anyone familiar enough with his style to tell if he did indeed ink the page? Thanks in advance.
