  1. Picked this up recently. Just need to find a Stinger with wings, and we'll be 100% complete.
  2. Sorry!!! Usually when I say that, it's gone in less than 5. No telling why this is still here. Great book.
  3. @waaaghboss this might be just the copy you're looking for. Great price with offer available. Just popped up today.
  4. I dunno... there seems to be an awful lot of buzz about "some guys" that are out there, right now, dunking books for cleaning, and using a form UV light to remove traces of wet cleaning books. These books (according to the buzz) are going through, "undetected" and receiving massive grade bumps. Anybody else hearing this, or just me?
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the word has always been... amongst the OGs, that many of the Mile Highs have some form of resto. Do they receive purple labels for it??? Ummm... no. Why? That's a question for somebody else...
  6. Ok. I don't know if I'm late to the party here, but it looks like the book in question is the Mile High 8.0 SUPERMAN #1, which traded hands in January for a price of $5.3 million USD. I'll attach a couple screen shots of the article. Both buyer and seller want to remain anonymous, though the brokers for both parties are named in the article.
  7. How many do you think are out there compared to the 75 restored and unrestored Action 1s?
  8. Totally agree with your post. I feel, possibly, that considering the All Story the Action 1 of pulps may be a touch misguided, though. I agree, that this logic will probably stick. I would just contend, that in the long run, 5 VF or better copies of Conan, might be better than 1 rag copy of Tarzan. Time will tell...
  9. I get the scarcity of this book, given it's age. The hammer price on the rag was kind of expected, but I feel, way too high. The way I look at it, Tarzan is a great character, so is Zorro and Buck Rogers for that matter. All that being said, I feel Weird Tales December of 32 is the best book of all the major first appearances in pulps. Extremely high grade copies can be had for less than the rag All Story, and it's just a vastly superior character, even from a broad collectability standpoint. This, of course, is just my opinion.
  10. Agreed, I already think less of Roger. Totally kidding, of course. I'm excited to see them pull it together on their scheduled phone call and put this thing to bed.
  11. I have a Superman 4 with a fully detached cover graded CGC 4.0
  12. Right, but now you've taken that privacy, public. If you don't mind me asking... what options for resolution have been offered, so we can all understand?
  13. It looks like @Roger66 has acknowledged he feels somewhat morally responsible for the way things are, and wants to make it right. It additionally appears Roger thinks the ask ($2,800) given where things are currently, is too high. Realistically, and unfortunately, Roger could tell Dave to jam it, based on the absence of clarification. Roger, to me is demonstrating desire to make it right. Again, @Diamonddave could relay information here... is there anything else you would accept (aside form $2,800) to resolve this? That seems like a good starting point...
  14. This is simpler than it seems. @Diamonddave Are you willing to accept ANYTHING other than $2800 from Roger to "make it right"? If so, what does that look like?
